12131 - ‘Ali ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, Abu al-Jamahir narrated to us, Sa‘id ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Qatada regarding His saying: "Then amazing is their saying": The All-Merciful was amazed by their denial of the Resurrection.

12132 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh narrated to us, he said: I heard ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam regarding the saying of Allah: "And if you are amazed, then amazing is their saying," he said: "If you are amazed by their denial, then be amazed at their saying: 'When we are dust, shall we indeed be in a new creation?' Do they not see that He created them from a drop of fluid? For creation from a drop of fluid is more difficult than creation from dust, and greater." [1]

His saying: "When we are dust, shall we indeed be in a new creation?"

12133 - ‘Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali narrated to us, ‘Amir ibn al-Furat narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi: "When we are dust": i.e., the flesh [would be] decayed remains.

His saying: "Those are the ones who have disbelieved in their Lord, and those are the shackles on their necks."

12134 - My father narrated to me, ‘Amr ibn Rafi‘ narrated to us, Nu‘aym ibn Maysara al-Qari narrated to us, from ‘Uyayna ibn Hisn, from al-Husayn, he said: "The shackles were not placed on the necks of the people of the Fire because they rendered the Lord incapable, but they were placed on their necks so that when the flame rises with them, it drags them down into the Fire."

His saying: "And those are the companions of the Fire."

12135 - Musa ibn Abi Musa narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik regarding His saying: "Companions of the Fire": They are punished within it.

His saying: "They are therein abiding eternally."

12136 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan ibn Salama ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: Muhammad ibn Abi Muhammad narrated to me, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr and ‘Ikrama, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding His saying: "They are therein abiding eternally": meaning, abiding forever. It was narrated from al-Suddi something similar to that.
