12279 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "Have you not seen those who exchanged the favor of Allah for disbelief?" He said: It is Jabalah ibn al-Ayham and those of the Arabs who followed him and joined the Romans (1).
12280 - From Ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "The house of perdition," he said: The Fire. He said: Allah has explained that and informed you of it by saying: "Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the settlement (2)."
His saying, the Almighty: "Hell, which they will [enter to] burn."
12281 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "Hell, which they will [enter to] burn," he said: It is their home in the Hereafter.
His saying, the Almighty: "Say, 'Enjoy yourselves, for indeed, your destination is the Fire.'"
12282 - From Abu Razin regarding His saying: "Say, 'Enjoy yourselves, for indeed, your destination is the Fire,'" he said: Enjoy yourselves until your appointed time (3).
His saying, the Almighty: "Before there comes a Day in which there is no exchange and no friendship."
12283 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "Before there comes a Day in which there is no exchange and no friendship," he said: Allah, the Almighty, knew that there are exchanges and friendships in the world through which people befriend one another, so let a man consider whom he befriends and upon what he associates. If it is for the sake of Allah, then let him persist; if it is for other than the sake of Allah, then let him know that every friendship will turn into enmity against its people on the Day of Resurrection, except for the friendship of the righteous (4).
His saying, the Almighty: "And subjected for you the rivers."
12284 - From Mujahid (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And subjected for you the rivers," he said: In every town (5).
12285 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) who said: The sun is like a water channel, flowing by day in the sky within its orbit; when it sets, it flows by night in its orbit beneath the earth until it rises from its rising place, and the same is true for the moon (6).

١٢٢٧٩ - عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما فِي قَوْلِهِ: أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ بَدَّلُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ كُفْرًا قَالَ: هُوَ جبلة بن الأيهم والذين اتبعوه مِنَ العَرَب فلحقوا بالروم «١» .
١٢٢٨٠ - عن ابن زيد رضي الله عنه في قَوْلِهِ: دَارَ الْبَوَارِ قَالَ: النَّار. قَالَ: وقد بين الله ذَلِكَ وأخبرك به فقال جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا وَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ «٢» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا
١٢٢٨١ - عَنْ قَتَادَة فِي قَوْلِهِ: جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا قَالَ: هي دارهم في الآخرة.
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: قُلْ تَمَتَّعُوا فَإِنَّ مَصِيرَكُمْ إِلَى النَّار
١٢٢٨٢ - عَنِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: قُلْ تَمَتَّعُوا فَإِنَّ مَصِيرَكُمْ إِلَى النَّار قَالَ:
تمتعوا إِلَى أجلكم «٣» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لا بَيْعٌ فِيهِ وَلا خِلالٌ
١٢٢٨٣ - عَنْ قَتَادَة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: مِنْ قَبْلِ إِنَّ يَأْتِيَ يَوْم لَا بَيْعٌ فِيهِ وَلا خِلالٌ قَالَ: إِنَّ الله تَعَالَى قد علم إِنَّ في الدُّنْيَا بيوعًا وخلالا يتخالون بها في الدُّنْيَا، فلينظر رجل مِنْ يخالل، وعلام يصاحب، فإن كَانَ لله فليداوم، وإن كَانَ لغير الله فليعلم إِنَّ كُلّ خلة ستصير عَلَى أهلها عداوة يوم القيامة، إلا خلة المتقين «٤» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الأَنْهَارَ
١٢٢٨٤ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الأَنْهَارَ قَالَ:
بكل بلدة «٥» .
١٢٢٨٥ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: الشمس بمنزلة الساقية، تجري بالنهار في السَّمَاء في فلكها، فإذا غربت جرت الليل في فلكها تحت الأَرْض حتي تطلع من مشرقها، وكذلك القمر «٦» .
