His saying, the Almighty: "And do not think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do."
From Maymun ibn Mahran (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And do not think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do," he said: It is a consolation for the oppressed and a warning for the oppressor (1).
His saying: "He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare in horror."
12299 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare in horror," he said: Their eyes will stare, by Allah, and will not return to them (2).
His saying: "Racing ahead, their heads raised up."
12300 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "Racing ahead (muhti'in)," he said: That is, with fixed staring without blinking. "Their heads raised up," he said: The raising of their heads. "Their glance does not return to them," he said: Their eyes will stare in horror, "and their hearts will be void," having nothing of good in them, for they are like ruins (3).
12301 - From Mujahid (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding "racing ahead," he said: Continuously staring (4).
His saying: "And their hearts will be void."
12302 - From Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding "and their hearts will be void," he said: Empty, retaining nothing (5).
His saying: "And warn the people of a Day when the punishment will come to them..."
12304 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And warn the people of a Day when the punishment will come to them," he says: Warn them in the world before the punishment comes to them (6).
His saying: "You will have no cessation."
12305 - From al-Suddi regarding His saying: "You will have no cessation," he said: Resurrection after death (7).
