Translation · EN

12402 - From Al-Hasan: It has reached me that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The people of Paradise will be detained after they cross the Sirat (the bridge), until retribution is taken for some of them against others for their grievances in the world, and they will enter Paradise while there is no rancor in the hearts of some of them toward others."

Ibn Abi Hatim narrated from Abd al-Karim ibn Rashid, who said: The people of Paradise will reach the gate of Paradise while they are watching one another with the scrutiny of those who feel mutual jealousy, then when they enter it, Allah will remove whatever was in their hearts of rancor.

12403 - From Kathir al-Nawa, he said: I said to Abu Ja'far: "A certain person narrated to me from Ali ibn al-Husayn that this verse was revealed concerning Abu Bakr, Umar, and Ali: 'And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of rancor.'" He said: "By Allah, it was indeed revealed concerning them. And in whom else would it be revealed but them?" I said: "And what rancor is it?" He said: "The rancor of the Age of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah). Indeed, the Banu Taym, Banu Adi, and Banu Hashim had [conflicts] between them in the Age of Ignorance. Then this verse was revealed."

His saying: "[Sitting] on thrones, facing each other."

12404 - From Mujahid regarding His saying: "[Sitting] on thrones, facing each other," he said: No one of them sees the back of another.

12405 - From Musa ibn Ubaydah, from Mus'ab ibn Thabit, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by some of his companions who were laughing, so he said: "Remember Paradise and remember the Fire." Then was revealed: "Inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful, and that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment."

12405 - From Zayd ibn Abi Awfa, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out to us...
