Volume 7 · Page 171[Surah al-Hijr (15): Verse 48]

Translation · EN

and upon him, and recited this verse: "[As] brothers on thrones, facing each other." [Meaning:] Those who love each other for the sake of Allah in Paradise, some of them looking toward others."

His saying: "No fatigue will touch them therein."

12406 - From Al-Suddi regarding His saying: "No fatigue will touch them therein," he said: Hardship and harm.

His saying: "Inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful, and that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment."

12407 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "Inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful, and that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment," he said: It has reached us that the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If the servant knew the extent of Allah's pardon, he would not have refrained from any unlawful thing. And if he knew the extent of His punishment, he would have gathered himself [in fear]."

His saying: "They said: 'Do not be afraid.'"

12408 - From Ikrimah regarding "They said: 'Do not be afraid' [la tawjal]," he said: Do not fear.

His saying: "Of what then do you bring good news?"

12409 - From Mujahid regarding "Of what then do you bring good news [fubima tubashirun]?" he said: He was astonished at his old age and the old age of his wife.

His saying: "Of the despairing."

12410 - From Al-Suddi regarding "Of the despairing [al-qanitin]," he said: The despondent.

His saying: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except the astray?"

12411 - From Sufyan ibn Uyaynah, he said: Whoever thinks that people despair of the mercy of Allah, or makes himself despair, has erred. Then he recited this verse: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except the astray?"

12412 - From Al-Suddi regarding "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord," he said: [Meaning] whoever loses hope in the mercy of his Lord.

12413 - From Musa ibn Ali, from his father, he said: It has reached me that Noah, peace be upon him, said to his son Sam: "O my son, do not enter the grave while there is in your heart an atom's weight of shirk (associating partners) with Allah, for whoever...

وسلم فتلا هذه الآية إِخْوَانًا عَلَى سُرُرٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ «المتحابين في الله في الْجَنَّة ينظر بعضهم إِلَى بعض» «١» .

قوله: لا يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ

١٢٤٠٦ - عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ فِي قَوْلِهِ: لا يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ قَالَ: المشقة والأذى «٢» .

قوله: نَبِّئْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الأَلِيمُ

١٢٤٠٧ - عَنْ قَتَادَة فِي قَوْلِهِ: نَبِّئْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الأَلِيمُ قَالَ: بلغنا أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَوْ يعلم العبد قدر عفو الله، لما تورّع مِنْ حرام. ولو يعلم قدر عذابه، لجمع نفسه» «٣» .

قوله: قَالُوا لا تَوْجَلْ

١٢٤٠٨ - عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالُوا لا تَوْجَلْ قالوا: لا تخف «٤» .

قوله: فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ

١٢٤٠٩ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ قَالَ عجب مِنْ كبره وكبر امرأته «٥» .

قوله: مِنَ الْقَانِطِينَ

١٢٤١٠ - عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ مِنَ الْقَانِطِينَ قَالَ: الآيسين «٦» .

قوله: وَمَنْ يَقْنَطُ مِنْ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ إِلا الضَّالُّونَ

١٢٤١١ - عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بن عيينة قَالَ: مِنْ ذهب يقنط الناس مِنْ رحمة الله، أو يقنط نفسه فقد أخطأ، ثُمَّ نزع بهذه الآية وَمَنْ يَقْنَطُ مِنْ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ إِلا الضَّالُّونَ.

١٢٤١٢ - عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ وَمَنْ يَقْنَطُ مِنْ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ قَالَ: مِنْ ييأس مِنْ رحمة ربه.

١٢٤١٣ - عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: بلغني إِنَّ نوحًا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قَالَ لابنه سام: يا بني، لا تدخلن القبر وفي قلبك مثقال ذرة من الشرك بالله فإنه من
