Volume 7 · Page 173[Surah al-Hijr (15): Verse 75]

Translation · EN

By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly," he says: By your life, O Muhammad, and by your lifespan and your remaining in the world.

12421 - From Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "By your life," he said: By your life [wa-li-'ayshik].

12422 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "Indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly," he said: That is, in their misguidance they are playing.

12423 - From Al-A'mash that he was asked about the saying of the Almighty: "By your life, indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly," he said: They are wandering in their heedlessness.

His saying: "Indeed, in that are signs."

12424 - From Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "Indeed, in that are signs," he said: A mark. Do you not see a man who sends his signet ring to his family and says: Bring such-and-such? So when they see it, they know it is the truth.

His saying: "For those who observe [al-mutawassimīn]."

12425 - From Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "Signs for those who observe," he said: For the onlookers.

12426 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "Signs for those who observe," he said: For those who take heed.

12427 - From Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Beware the intuition (firasah) of the believer, for he looks with the light of Allah." Then he recited: "Indeed, in that are signs for those who observe," and he said: The possessors of intuition (al-mutafarrisin).

His saying: "And indeed, they are [situated] on an established road."

12428 - From Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "And indeed, they are [situated] on an established road," he says: For destruction.

12429 - From Mujahid regarding His saying: "And indeed, they are [situated] on an established road," he says: On a clear path.

His saying: "And indeed, the companions of the al-Aykah were wrongdoers."

12430 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "And indeed, the companions of the al-Aykah were wrongdoers," it was mentioned to us that they
