13224 - From al-Dahhak, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "Mahduran" (restricted), he said: "Prevented."
His saying, the Almighty: "See how We have favored some of them over others"
13225 - From Qatadah, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "See how We have favored some of them over others," he said: "Meaning in the world, while the Hereafter is greater in degrees and greater in favor. Indeed, the believers have stations in Paradise, and they have merits due to their deeds."
13226 - From al-Dahhak, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "But the Hereafter is greater in degrees and greater in favor," he said: "The people of Paradise are some above others in degrees; the one who is higher sees his favor over the one who is below him, while the one below does not see that there is anyone above him."
His saying, the Almighty: "Condemned and driven far away"
13227 - From Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "Madhuman" (condemned), he says: "Blamed."
13228 - And from Qatadah, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "Then you will be condemned," he says: "In the vengeance of Allah, driven far away in the punishment of Allah."
His saying, the Almighty: "And your Lord has decreed"
13229 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: "Allah sent down this letter upon the tongue of your Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: 'Wa wassa Rabbuka' (And your Lord has commanded), then one of the two waw-s became attached to the sad, so the people recited: 'Wa Qada Rabbuka' (And your Lord has decreed). Had it been revealed as 'Qada' (to decree), no one would have associated anything with Him."
His saying, the Almighty: "And to parents, good treatment"
13230 - From al-Hasan, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "And to parents, good treatment," he says: "Kindness."
His saying: "Uff"
13231 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, then do not say to them [as much as], 'Uff,'" he says: "Regarding what you clear away from them of filth, such as excrement and urine, just as they did not say it regarding what they cleared away from you of excrement and urine."

١٣٢٢٤ - عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: مَحْظُورًا قَالَ: ممنوعًا «١» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: انْظُرْ كَيْفَ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ
١٣٢٢٥ - عَنْ قَتَادَة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: انْظُرْ كَيْفَ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ أي في الدُّنْيَا وَلَلآخِرَةُ أَكْبَرُ دَرَجَاتٍ وَأَكْبَرُ تَفْضِيلا وإن للمؤمنين في الْجَنَّة منازل وإن لَهُمْ فضائل بأعمالهم.
١٣٢٢٦ - عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَلَلآخِرَةُ أَكْبَرُ دَرَجَاتٍ وَأَكْبَرُ تَفْضِيلا قَالَ: إِنَّ أَهْل الْجَنَّة بعضهم فوق بعض درجات، الأعلى يرى فَضَّلَهُ عَلَى مِنْ هُوَ أسفل منه، والأسفل لا يرى إِنَّ فوقه أحداً «٢» .
قوله تَعَالَى: مَذْمُومًا مَخْذُولا
١٣٢٢٧ - عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: مَذْمُومًا يَقُولُ ملومًا «٣» .
١٣٢٢٨ - وعن قَتَادَة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَتَقْعُدَ مَذْمُومًا يَقُولُ: في نقمة الله مخذولا في عذاب الله «٤» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: وَقَضَى رَبُّكَ
١٣٢٢٩ - عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: أنزل الله هَذَا الحرف عَلَى لسان نبيكم صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ووصى ربك إِنَّ لا تعبدوا إلا إياه فالتصقت إحدى الواوين بالصاد فقرأ الناس: وَقَضَى رَبُّكَ ولو نَزَلَتْ علي القَضَاءِ، مَا أشرك به أحد «٥» .
قوله تَعَالَى: وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا
١٣٢٣٠ - عَنِ الحَسَنِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وبالوالدين إحسانا يَقُولُ:
براً «٦» .
قوله: أُفٍّ
١٣٢٣١ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِنْدَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلاهُمَا فَلا تَقُلْ لَهُمَا أُفٍّ فيما تميط عنها مِنَ الأذى الخلاء والبول، كما كانا لا يقولانه، فيما كَانَ يميطان عنك من الخلاء والبول «٧» .
