13298 - From Ibn Zayd, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: 'And when you mention your Lord alone in the Quran, they turn back in aversion', he said: 'Out of hatred for what you are speaking of, so that they may not hear it, just as the people of Noah used to put their fingers in their ears so they would not hear what he was commanding them regarding seeking forgiveness and repentance.'
13299 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: 'And when you mention your Lord alone in the Quran, they turn back in aversion', he said: 'The devils.'
13300 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: 'When they listen to you', he said: 'This refers to the likes of al-Walid ibn al-Mughirah and those with him in the Dar al-Nadwa.' And regarding His saying: 'Then they are not able to find a way', he said: 'An exit to get them out of the analogies that al-Walid ibn al-Mughirah and his companions proposed to you.'
His saying, the Almighty: 'And bones and fragments [rufatan].'
13301 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: 'And bones and fragments', he said: 'Dust.'
His saying, the Almighty: 'Say, "Be stones or iron."
13302 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: 'And bones and fragments', he said: 'Soil.' And regarding His saying: 'Say, "Be stones or iron"', he said: 'Be whatever you wish, for Allah will restore you as you were.'
His saying, the Almighty: 'Or [some other] creation that is great in your breasts [hearts].'
13304 - From Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: 'Or [some other] creation that is great in your breasts', he said: 'Death.' He said: 'If you were dead, I would resurrect you.'
[His saying, the Almighty: 'They will shake their heads at you.']
13305 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: 'They will shake their heads at you', he said: 'They will wag their heads in mockery of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.'
His saying, the Almighty: 'Then you will respond with His praise.'
13306 - By way of Ali, from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: 'Then you will respond with His praise', he said: 'By His command.'

١٣٢٩٨ - عن ابن زيد رضي الله عنه في قَوْلِهِ: وَإِذَا ذَكَرْتَ رَبَّكَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ وَحْدَهُ وَلَّوْا عَلَى أَدْبَارِهِمْ نُفُورًا قَالَ: بغضًا لما تتكلم به، لئلا يسمعوه كما كَانَ قوم نوح يجعلون أصابعهم في آذانهم، لئلا يسمعوا ما يأمرهم به مِنَ الاستغفار والتوبة «١» .
١٣٢٩٩ - عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَإِذَا ذَكَرْتَ رَبَّكَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ وَحْدَهُ وَلَّوْا عَلَى أَدْبَارِهِمْ نُفُورًا قَالَ: الشياطين «٢» .
١٣٣٠٠ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: إِذْ يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ قَالَ: هي في مثل قول الوليد بن المغيرة ومن معه في دار الندوة وفي قوله: فَلا يَسْتَطِيعْونَ سَبِيلا قَالَ: مَخْرَجًا يُخْرِجُهُمْ مِنَ الأَمْثَالِ الَّتِي ضَرَبُوا لَكَ الوليد بن المغيرة، وأصحابه «٣» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: وَرُفَاتًا
١٣٣٠١ - عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَرُفَاتًا قَالَ: غبارًا «٤» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: قُلْ كُونُوا حِجَارَةً أَوْ حَدِيدًا
١٣٣٠٢ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَرُفَاتًا قَالَ: ترابًا وفي قوله: قُلْ كُونُوا حِجَارَةً أو حديدا قال: ما شئتم فكونوا فسيعيدكم الله كما كنتم «٥» .
قوله تَعَالَى: أَوْ خَلْقًا مِمَّا يَكْبُرُ فِي صُدُورِكُمْ
١٣٣٠٤ - عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا فِي قَوْلِهِ: أَوْ خَلْقًا مِمَّا يَكْبُرُ فِي صُدُورِكُمْ قَالَ: الموت. قَالَ: لو كنتم موتى لأحييتكم «٦» .
[قوله تعالى: فسينغضون إليك رؤسهم.]
١٣٣٠٥ - عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما في قوله فسينغضون إليك رؤسهم قَالَ: يحركون رؤوسهم استهزاء بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «٧» .
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَتَسْتَجِيبُونَ بِحَمْدِهِ
١٣٣٠٦ - مِنْ طَرِيقِ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَتَسْتَجِيبُونَ بِحَمْدِهِ قَالَ: بأمره «٨» .
