Volume 7 · Page 245[Surah al-Isra' (17): Verse 78]

Translation · EN

13361 - From Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: Its decline, its setting.

His saying, the Almighty: "And the recitation of the dawn"

13362 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "[Indeed, the recitation of dawn] has ever been witnessed," he said: The angels and the jinn witness it.

13363 - From Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "The angels of the night and the angels of the day gather at the dawn prayer." Then Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, says: Read if you wish: "Indeed, the recitation of dawn has ever been witnessed."

13364 - From al-Dahhak, he said: Standing in prayer at night was abrogated, except for the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

13365 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: "as an additional [prayer] for you": He means specifically for the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him; he was commanded to perform the night prayer, and it was prescribed for him.

13366 - From Qatadah, may Allah be pleased with him, [regarding] "an additional [prayer] for you," he said: It is a voluntary act and a virtue for you.

13367 - From Abu Umamah, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "an additional [prayer] for you," he said: It was an additional act for the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and a virtue for you. And in another phrasing: The additional act was exclusively for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

13368 - From Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, regarding His saying: "[It is expected that your Lord will] resurrect you to a praised station," and he was asked about it, so he said: It is the station in which I will intercede for my nation.

From Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The praised station is the intercession."

His saying, the Almighty: "A praised station"

13369 - From Ka'b ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "People will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection, and I and my nation will be upon a mound, and my Lord will clothe me in a green garment. Then I will be permitted to say what Allah wills for me to say, and that is the praised station."
