12789 - From Ibn Mas'ud that he was asked about al-muhl, so he called for gold and silver and it melted slightly. He said: "This is the closest thing to al-muhl, which is the drink of the people of the Fire. Its color is the color of the sky, except that the drink of the people of the Fire is hotter than this."

12790 - From Mujahid, regarding His saying: "Like molten copper (al-muhl)," he said: "Pus and blood that is black, like the dregs of oil."

12791 - From al-Dahhak, regarding His saying: "Like molten copper (al-muhl)," he said: "Black, and it is black, and its people are black."

His saying: "And an evil place of rest (murtafaqan)."

12792 - From Mujahid, regarding His saying: "And an evil place of rest (murtafaqan)," he said: "A gathering place."

12794 - From al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "And an evil place of rest (murtafaqan)," he said: "They are reclining upon it over the scalding water (al-hamim) when they drink, and al-irtafaq is reclining."

His saying: "Indeed, We do not lose the reward of those who did well in deeds."

12795 - From al-Maqburi, he said: It reached me that 'Isa ibn Maryam (Jesus, son of Mary) used to say: "O son of Adam, when you perform a good deed, forget about it, for it is with Him who does not lose it." Then he recited: "Indeed, We do not lose the reward of those who did well in deeds." "And when you perform a bad deed, keep it before your eyes."

12796 - From al-Dahhak, he said: "Al-istabraq is thick brocade, and in the language of the non-Arabs, it is istabrah."

12797 - From 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Sabit, he said: "Allah sends to the servant from the people of Paradise a garment, and he admires it. He says: 'I have seen the Paradises, but I have never seen a garment like this!' Then the messenger who brought the garment says: 'Your Lord commands that a garment like this one be prepared for this servant as He wills.'"
