12825 - From Qatada regarding His saying: "And he had no company," meaning: No soldiers to assist him besides Allah, "and he was not a defender," meaning: One who could prevent [harm].
His saying: "Al-wilaya" (the protection/authority).
12826 - From Mubashir ibn Ubayd, he said: "Al-wilaya with a kasrah (i-vowel) is for religion, and al-wilaya with a fathah (a-vowel) is that which I take charge of."
His saying: "Wealth and children are the adornment of the worldly life..."
12827 - From Sufyan al-Thawri, he said: "It used to be said that wealth (al-mal) was only named so because it inclines (yamil) people, and the world (al-dunya) was only named so because it is close (danat)."
12828 - From Iyad ibn Uqba, that he had a son who died named Yahya. When he was placed in his grave, a man said to him: "By Allah, he was indeed a leader of the army, so seek reward from Allah for him." He replied: "And what would prevent me from seeking reward from Allah for him? He was yesterday among the adornments of this world, and today he is among the enduring righteous deeds."
12829 - From Ali ibn Abi Talib, he said: "Wealth and children are the harvest of this world, and righteous deeds are the harvest of the Hereafter, and Allah sometimes gathers both for certain people."
His saying: "And the enduring righteous deeds are better with your Lord..."
12830 - From Abu Sa'id al-Khudri: That the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Increase your share of the enduring righteous deeds." It was said: "And what are they, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "The takbir (saying Allahu Akbar), the tahlil (saying La ilaha illa Allah), the tasbih (saying Subhan Allah), the tahmid (saying Alhamdullilah), and there is no power and no strength except with Allah."
12831 - From Abu Hurayra, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Take your protection." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, is it from an enemy that has approached?" He said: "No. Rather, your protection from the Fire is saying: 'Subhan Allah, Alhamdullilah, La ilaha illa Allah, and Allahu Akbar,' for they will come on the Day of Resurrection as ones who go before, ones who follow, and ones who are righteous, and they are the enduring righteous deeds."
12832 - From Ibn Abbas regarding "And the enduring righteous deeds," he said: "The good speech."

١٢٨٢٥ - عَنْ قَتَادَة فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَلَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ فِئَةٌ أي جند يعينونه مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَمَا كان منتصرا أي ممتنعا «١» .

١٢٨٢٦ - عَنْ مبشر بن عبيد قَالَ: الْوَلايَةُ لدين والولاية مَا أتولى «٢» .
قوله: الْمَالُ وَالْبَنُونَ زِينَةُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ...
١٢٨٢٧ - عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثوري قَالَ: كَانَ يقال إنما سمي المال، لأنه يميل بالناس، وإنما سميت الدُّنْيَا، لأنها دنت «٣» .
١٢٨٢٨ - عَنْ عياض بن عقبة أنه مات لَهُ ابن يقال لَهُ يحيي، فلما نزل في قبره قَالَ لَهُ رجل: والله إِنَّ كَانَ لسيد الجيش فاحتسبه. فقال: وما يمنعني إِنَّ أحتسبه؟
وكان أمس مِنْ زينة الدُّنْيَا، وهو اليوم مِنَ الباقيات الصالحات «٤» .
١٢٨٢٩ - عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَ: الْمَالُ وَالْبَنُونَ حَرْثُ الدُّنْيَا، وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ حَرْثُ الآخِرَةِ، وقد يجمعهما الله لأقوام «٥» .
قوله: وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ خَيْرٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ ...
١٢٨٣٠ - عن أبي سعيد الخدري: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:
«استكثروا مِنَ الباقيات الصالحات» قِيلَ: وما هن يا رَسُول الله؟ قَالَ: «التكبير والتهليل والتسبيح والتحميد ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله» «٦» .
١٢٨٣١ - عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خذوا جنتكم» قِيلَ: يا رَسُول الله، أمن عدو قد حضر قَالَ: لا. «بل جنتكم مِنَ النَّار قول سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أكبر، فإنهن يأتين يَوْم الْقِيَامَة مقدمات معقبات محسنات وهن الباقيات الصالحات» «٧» .
١٢٨٣٢ - عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ والباقيات الصالحات قال: الكلام الطيب «٨» .
