12911 - From Ibn Abi Mulaykah, he said: Ibn Abbas was asked about the children in Paradise, and he said: "Suffice it for you what Moses and al-Khidr disputed over."
His saying: "They came to the people of a town."
12912 - From al-Suddi regarding His saying: "They came to the people of a town," he said: "The town was called Bajruwan, and its people were ignoble."
12913 - From Muhammad ibn Sirin, he said: "They came to al-Uballah, which is the farthest land from the sky."
12914 - Through the path of Qatadah, from Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "They came to the people of a town," he said: "It is Abraqah." He said: "And a man told me that it is Antioch."
12915 - From Ayyub ibn Musa, he said: "It has reached me that requesting something for the needy is a good deed. Do you not hear that Moses and his companion asked the people of the town for food?"
His saying: "It wants to fall down."
12916 - From al-Suddi regarding His saying: "It wants to fall down," he said: "It will collapse."
His saying: "So he set it up."
12917 - From Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "So he set it up," he said: "He raised the wall with his hand, so it became upright."
12918 - Through the path of Muhammad ibn Ka'b al-Qurazi, he said: Umar ibn al-Khattab said—while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was narrating this hadith to them until he finished the story—: "May Allah have mercy on Moses; we wished he had been patient so that he would tell us more of their story."
His saying: "So I wanted to damage it."
12920 - From Mujahid regarding His saying: "So I wanted to damage it," he said: "I perforated it."
12921 - From Ibn Abbas that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite: "And in front of them was a king who would seize every seaworthy ship by force."

١٢٩١١ - عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مليكة قَالَ: سئل ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ الوالدان في الْجَنَّة قَالَ:
حسبك مَا اختصم فيه موسى والخضر «١» .
قوله: أَتَيَا أَهْل قَرْيَةٍ
١٢٩١٢ - عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ فِي قَوْلِهِ: أَتَيَا أَهْل قَرْيَةٍ قَالَ: كَانَتِ القرية تسمى بأجروان كَانَ أهلها لئامًا «٢» .
١٢٩١٣ - عَنْ مُحَمَّد بن سيرين قَالَ: أتيا الأبلة وهي أبعد أرض الله مِنَ السَّمَاء «٣»
١٢٩١٤ - مِنْ طَرِيق قَتَادَة، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: أَتَيَا أَهْل قَرْيَةٍ قَالَ:
هي أبرقة. قَالَ: وحدثني رجل أنها إنطاكية «٤» .
١٢٩١٥ - عَنِ أَيْوبَ بن موسى قَالَ: بلغني إِنَّ المسألة للمحتاج حسنة، ألا تسمع إِنَّ موسى وصاحبه استطعما أهلها؟ «٥»
قوله: يُرِيدُ إِنَّ يَنْقَضَّ
١٢٩١٦ - عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ فِي قَوْلِهِ: يُرِيدُ إِنَّ يَنْقَضَّ قَالَ: يسقط «٦» .
قوله: فَأَقَامَهُ
١٢٩١٧ - عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَأَقَامَهُ قَالَ: رفع الجدار بيده فاستقام «٧» .
١٢٩١٨ - مِنْ طَرِيق مُحَمَّد بْنِ كَعْبٍ القُرَظِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ عمر بن الخطاب- ورسول الله صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يحدثهم بهذا الحَدِيث حتى فرغ مِنَ القصة-:
«يرحم الله موسى، وددنا لو صبر حتى يقص علينا مِنْ حديثهما» «٨» .
قوله: فَأَرَدْتُ إِنَّ أَعِيبَهَا
١٢٩٢٠ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَأَرَدْتُ إِنَّ أَعِيبَهَا قَالَ: أخرقها «٩» .
١٢٩٢١ - عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يقرأ: «وكان أمامهم ملك يأخذ كل سفينة صالحة غصبا» . «١٠»
