Volume 7 · Page 289[Surat al-Kahf (18): Verse 88]

Translation · EN

His saying: "For him will be the finest recompense"

12958 - From Masruq (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "For him will be the finest recompense," he said: "The finest is a recompense for him."

His saying: "And we will speak to him of our command with ease"

12959 - From Mujahid regarding His saying: "And we will speak to him of our command with ease," he said: "With kindness."

And Allah the Exalted knows best.

His saying: "Until, when he reached the rising of the sun"

12960 - From Ibn Jurayj regarding His saying: "Until, when he reached the rising of the sun," he said: "It was narrated from al-Hasan, from Samurah ibn Jundub... he said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'We did not provide them any shelter from it' means there was never any building constructed upon it. When the sun would rise, they would enter tunnels of theirs until the sun passed its zenith."

His saying: "Rising upon a people for whom we have not provided any shelter from it"

12961 - Al-Hasan regarding His saying: "Rising upon a people for whom we have not provided any shelter from it" said: "Their land does not support buildings. When the sun rises, it sinks into the waters, and when it sets, they emerge to graze like cattle graze." Then al-Hasan said: "This is the hadith of Samurah."

12962 - From Qatadah regarding the verse, he said: "It was mentioned to us that they are in a land where nothing remains firm for them. When it rises, they enter tunnels until the sun passes its zenith, then they emerge to their crops and livelihoods."

12963 - From Salamah ibn Kuhayl regarding the verse, he said: "They have no ears (for shelter), when the sun rises, it rises upon them, and one of them has two ears; he spreads one out to lie upon and wears the other."

قوله: فَلَهُ جَزَاءً الْحُسْنَى

مدينة عَنْ مسروق رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي

قَوْلِهِ: فَلَهُ جَزَاءً الْحُسْنَى قَالَ الحسنى لَهُ جزاء «١» .

قوله: وَسَنَقُولُ لَهُ مِنَ امْرِنَا يُسْرًا

١٢٩٥٩ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَسَنَقُولُ لَهُ مِنَ امْرِنَا يُسْرًا قَالَ: معروفًا.

والله تَعَالَى أعلم «٢» .

قوله: حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ مَطْلِعَ الشَّمْسِ

١٢٩٦٠ - عَنْ ابن جريج فِي

قوله: حَتَّى إِذَا بلغ مطلع الشمس الآية. قَالَ: حدثت عَنْ الحسن عَنْ سمرة بن جندب ... قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِهَا سِتْرًا أنها لَمْ يبن فيها بناء قط، كانوا إِذَا طلعت الشمس دخلوا أسرابًا لَهُمْ حتى تزول الشمس «٣» .

قوله: تَطْلُعُ عَلَى قَوْمٍ لَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِهَا سِتْرًا

١٢٩٦١ - الحسن فِي قوله: تَطْلُعُ عَلَى قَوْمٍ لَمْ نجعل لهم مِنْ دُونِهَا سِتْرًا قَالَ: أرضهم لا تحمل البناء، فإذا طلعت الشمس تغور في المياه، فإذا غابت خرجوا يتراعون كما ترعي البهائم. ثُمَّ قَالَ الحسن: هَذَا حديث سمرة «٤» .

١٢٩٦٢ - عَنْ قَتَادَة في الآية قَالَ: ذكر لنا أنهم بأرض لا يثبت لَهُمْ فيها شيء، فهم إِذَا طلعت دخلوا في أسراب حتى إِذَا زالت الشمس خرجوا إِلَى حروثهم ومعايشهم «٥» .

١٢٩٦٣ - عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بن كهيل في الآية قَالَ: ليست لَهُمْ أكناف، إِذَا طلعت الشمس طلعت عَلَيْهِمْ، ولأحدهم أذنان يفترش واحدة ويلبس الأخرى «٦» .
