11485 - My father narrated to us, al-Himmani narrated to us, Yahya ibn Yaman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from 'Ali ibn Badhimah, from 'Ikrimah and Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "Had he not seen the proof of his Lord," he said: He loosened his trousers and sat in the position of the one being circumcised, then he saw an image in it containing the face of Ya'qub, biting his fingers, so he pushed his chest and the desire came out from his fingertips. Every son of Ya'qub had twelve children, except for Yusuf, for he lacked one child due to that desire.

11486 - My father narrated to us, Ibn Nufayl al-Harrani narrated to us, Yunus ibn Rashid narrated to us, from Khusayf, from Mujahid, "And she certainly determined [to seduce] him, and he would have inclined to her," he said: Ya'qub appeared to him and struck Yusuf's chest, so his desire flew away from the tips of his fingers. Every son of Ya'qub was born twelve males, except for Yusuf, for only two boys were born to him.

11487 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, Abu Ibrahim al-Asadi narrated to us, from Abu Ma'shar, from Muhammad ibn Ka'b, regarding "Had he not seen the proof of his Lord," he said: Had he not seen what was forbidden to him from the Qur'an, he would have returned to her.

11488 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali narrated to us, 'Amir ibn al-Furat narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, regarding "Had he not seen the proof of his Lord," he suddenly saw the image of Ya'qub standing in the house, biting his finger, saying: "O Yusuf, do not commit the act with her. Your likeness is like the bird in the expanse of the sky; it cannot be held, and your likeness if you fall upon it is like it when it dies, so it falls to the earth and cannot defend itself. Your likeness is like a difficult bull that has not been worked upon, and your likeness if you commit the act with her is like it when it dies, so the water enters into the base of its horns and it cannot defend itself." So he tied his trousers.

11489 - Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la reported to us through reading, Ibn Wahb reported to us, Nafi' ibn Yazid informed me, from Abu Sakhr, he said: I heard al-Qurazi saying regarding the proof: The one Yusuf saw.
