13160 - From 'Aisha, that she used to send charity to the rightful recipients and say: "Do not give any of it to a Berber man or a Berber woman, for I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) say: They are the generation (al-khalaf) whom Allah mentioned: 'But there came after them a generation (khalfun).'"

13161 - From Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "so they will meet evil (ghayya)," he said: Loss.

13162 - Through various chains, from Ibn Mas'ud regarding His saying: "so they will meet evil," he said: Al-Ghayy is a river or a valley in Hell, consisting of pus, deep in bottom and foul in taste, into which those who follow desires are cast.

13163 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "they will meet evil," he said: Evil, "except for those who repent," he said: from their sins, "and believe," he said: in their Lord, "and do righteousness," he said: between them and Allah.

13164 - From Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "They will not hear therein ill speech," he said: Falsehood.

From Mujahid regarding His saying: "They will not hear therein ill speech," he said: They will not insult one another. And regarding His saying: "And they will have their provision therein, morning and evening," he said: There is no morning or evening therein; rather, they are brought it in the manner they desire from morning and evening.

13165 - From Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And they will have their provision therein, morning and evening," he said: They are brought it in the Hereafter according to the measure they were brought it in the world.

13166 - From al-Walid ibn Muslim, he said: I asked Zuhayr ibn Muhammad regarding His saying: "And they will have their provision therein, morning and evening," he said: There is no night, sun, or moon in Paradise; they are in light forever, but they have the measure of the night and the day. They know the measure of the night by the lowering of the veils and the closing of the doors, and they know the measure of the day by the raising of the veils and the opening of the doors.

13167 - From al-Hasan, he said: They used to consider it a blessing that a man would have lunch and then have dinner. Allah said to the people of Paradise: "And they will have their provision therein, morning and evening."

13168 - From Ibn Shawdhab regarding His saying: "That is Paradise, which We give as inheritance to those of Our servants," he said: There is no one except that he has a dwelling and spouses in Paradise. So when the Day of Resurrection comes, Allah gives the believer as inheritance such-and-such number of dwellings from the dwellings of the disbelievers. That is the meaning of His saying: "of Our servants."
