Tafsir Ibn Abi Hatim
Volume 7 · Page 325[Surah Taha (20): Verse 32]

Translation · EN

13426 - From Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And associate him in my affair." He said: "Appoint Aaron as a prophet at that time when Moses was appointed a prophet (peace be upon them both)."

13427 - It is mentioned from Ibn Numayr: Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, from his father, from 'Aishah, that she went out to perform 'Umrah and stayed with some of the Bedouins. She heard a man saying, 'Which brother in this world was most beneficial to his brother?' They said, 'By Allah, we do not know.' He said, 'We do not know.' She said, 'I said to myself, in a whisper, not making any exception, "It is surely the most general... which brother in this world was more beneficial to his brother? It is Moses, when he asked for prophethood for his brother." She said: "By Allah, he was truthful." She said: "And regarding this, Allah the Exalted said in praise of Moses (peace be upon him): 'And he was, in the sight of Allah, honorable.'"

The Saying of the Exalted: "And I cast upon you love from Me."

13428 - From Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And I cast upon you love from Me." He said: "Everyone who saw him, a love from Him was cast upon him."

13429 - From Salamah ibn Kuhayl (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And I cast upon you love from Me." He said: "I made you beloved to My servants."

The Saying of the Exalted: "And that you may be brought up under My eye."

13430 - From Abu Nuhayk (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And that you may be brought up under My eye." He said: "And that you may be nurtured under My eye."

13431 - From Abu 'Imran al-Jawni (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "...that you may be brought up under My eye." He said: "You were raised under the eye of Allah."

13432 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "And that you may be brought up under My eye." He says: "And that you may be nourished under My eye."

The Saying of the Exalted: "And you killed a man, so We saved you from distress."

13433 - From Ibn 'Umar, I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: "Moses only killed the one who was killed from the family of Pharaoh by mistake." Allah says: "And you killed a man, so We saved you from distress."
