al-Fadl, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq: It is said that the witness was Mashyu, a man from the people of Atifir, who used to be sought for his judgment and listened to. However, he said: I testify, "If his shirt is torn from the front, then she has spoken the truth, and he is of the liars," because a man only desires a woman while approaching, and a man does not approach a woman from behind. And he said: It is not appropriate for the truth to be anything other than that.
The saying of the Most High: "But if his shirt is torn from the back, then she has lied, and he is of the truthful."
11514 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali narrated to us, 'Amir ibn al-Furat narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, who said: The cousin of hers said: In the shirt is the clarification of the matter. Look! If it is torn from the front, then she has spoken the truth and he is of the liars; and if his shirt is torn from the back, then she has lied and he is of the truthful. So when he was brought the shirt, it was found to have been torn from the back.
The saying of the Most High: "So when he saw his shirt torn from the back, he said: Indeed, it is of your plotting. Indeed, your plotting is great."
11515 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Salamah narrated to us, Salamah ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, who said: So when Atifir saw his shirt torn from the back, he knew that it was from her plotting, and he said: "Indeed, it is of your plotting. Indeed, your plotting is great."
The saying of the Most High: "Yusuf, ignore this."
11516 - 'Ali ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, Abu al-Jumahir narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Yusuf, ignore this": The matter and the conversation.
