11637 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn ‘Isa narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, [regarding]: "Mention me to your master," i.e., the Greatest King, [mention] my grievance and my imprisonment without cause. He said: "I will do so."
11638 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Salam ibn Mutahhar narrated to us, Ja‘far ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Bistam ibn Muslim, from Malik ibn Dinar, from al-Hasan, who said: When Joseph said to the cupbearer: "Mention me to your master," it was said to him: "O Joseph, you have taken a guardian other than Me? I will surely lengthen your imprisonment." Joseph wept and said: "O Lord, my heart was made forgetful by the abundance of trials, so I uttered a word; woe to my brothers."
11639 - ‘Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn narrated to us, ‘Amir narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, and he said: Joseph said to the cupbearer: "Mention me to your master," meaning his saying: "And he said to the one he knew would be saved among them."
His saying: "But Satan made him forget the mention of his master."
11640 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa’ narrated to us, from ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "But Satan made him forget the mention of his master," and that is that Satan made Joseph forget to remember his Lord and ordered him to remember the King and seek relief from him, so he remained in prison for a few years.
11641 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn ‘Isa narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, who said: When the cupbearer went out, he returned to what he was upon, and his master was pleased with him, and Satan made him forget to mention the King whom Joseph had ordered him to mention to him. So Joseph remained after that in prison for a few years.
His saying: "So he remained in prison for a few years."

11642 - My father and Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, they said: Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr al-Muqaddami narrated to us, Salam ibn Abi al-Sahba’ narrated to us, Thabit narrated to us, from Anas, who said: It was revealed to Joseph: "O Joseph, who saved you from the pit when they cast you into it?" He said: "You, O Lord." He said: "Who saved you from being killed when your brothers intended to kill you?" He said: "You, O Lord." He said: "Then why have you forgotten Me and remembered a mortal?" He said: "In my anguish."

١١٦٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثنا سَلَمَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ اذْكُرْنِي عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ أَيِ: الْمَلِكُ الأَعْظَمُ، مَظْلَمَتِي وَحَبْسِي فِي غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ، قَالَ: أَفْعَلُ.
١١٦٣٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ السَّلامِ بْنُ مُطَهَّرٍ، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ بِسْطَامِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: لَمَّا قَالَ يُوسُفُ لِلسَّاقِي:
اذْكُرْنِي عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ قِيلَ لَهُ يَا يُوسُفُ، اتَّخَذْتَ مِنْ دُونِي وَكِيلا؟ لأُطِيلَنَّ حَبْسَكَ فَبَكَى يُوسُفُ وَقَالَ: يَا رَبِّ أُنْسِيَ قَلْبِي مِنْ كَثْرَةِ الْبَلْوَى فَقُلْتُ كَلِمَةً فَوَيْلٌ لإِخْوَتِي «١» .
١١٦٣٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ، ثنا عَامِرٌ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ وَقَالَ يُوسُفُ لِلسَّاقِي اذْكُرْنِي عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ: وَقَالَ لِلَّذِي ظَنَّ أَنَّهُ نَاجٍ مِنْهُمَا.
قَوْلُهُ: فَأَنْسَاهُ الشَّيْطَانُ ذَكَرَ رَبِّهِ.
١١٦٤٠ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «٢»
قَوْلُهُ: فَأَنْسَاهُ الشَّيْطَانُ ذَكَرَ رَبِّهِ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ يُوسُفَ أَنْسَاهُ الشَّيْطَانُ ذِكْرَ رَبِّهِ وَأَمَرَهُ بِذِكْرِ الْمَلِكِ وَابْتِغَاءِ الْفَرَجِ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ فَلَبِثَ فِي السِّجْنِ بِضْعَ سِنِينَ
١١٦٤١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثنا سَلَمَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ: فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ السَّاقِي رُدَّ عَلَى مَا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ، وَرَضِيَ عَنْهُ صَاحِبُهُ، وَأَنْسَاهُ الشَّيْطَانُ ذِكْرَ الْمَلِكِ الَّذِي أَمَرَهُ يُوسُفُ أَنْ يَذْكُرَهُ لَهُ فَلَبِثَ يُوسُفُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فِي السِّجْنِ بِضْعَ سِنِينَ.

١١٦٤٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي وَأَبُو زُرْعَةَ قَالا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، ثنا سَلامُ بْنُ أَبِي الصَّهْبَاءِ، ثنا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: أُوحِيَ إِلَى يُوسُفَ، يَا يُوسُفُ، مَنِ اسْتَنْقَذَكَ مِنَ الْجُبِّ إِذْ أَلْقَوْكَ فِيهِ؟ قَالَ: أَنْتَ يَا رَبِّ قَالَ: مَنِ اسْتَنْقَذَكَ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ إِذْ هَمَّ إِخْوَتُكَ أَنْ يَقْتُلُوكَ؟ قَالَ: أَنْتَ يا رب، قال: فمالك نسيتني وذكرت آدميا؟ قال: جزعا
