Yazid ibn Zuray', from Sa'id, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Indeed Satan is, to mankind, a clear enemy," he said: They treated him as an enemy, for it is incumbent upon every Muslim to treat him as an enemy, and his enmity is that you should treat him as an enemy through the obedience of Allah.
His saying, the Almighty: "And thus"
11336 - Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa narrated to us, [saying] Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, [saying] 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us, [saying] Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik, regarding His saying: "And thus," meaning: "Like this."
His saying, the Almighty: "Your Lord will choose you"
11337 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, [saying] Safwan narrated to us, [saying] al-Walid narrated to us, [saying] Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "And thus your Lord will choose you," he said: "He will select you for the interpretation of narratives." Abu Muhammad said: It is not [present] with Abu al-Jamahir.
11338 - My father narrated to us, [saying] Hisham ibn Khalid narrated to us, from Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq, from Ibn Abi 'Arubah, from Qatadah: "He will choose you" [means]: "He will select you."
His saying, the Almighty: "And will teach you the interpretation of narratives"
11339 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, [saying] Shababah narrated to us, [saying] Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "the interpretation of narratives," he said: "The interpretation of dreams."
11340 - My father narrated to us, [saying] Hisham ibn Khalid narrated to us, [saying] Shu'ayb narrated to us, [saying] Ibn Abi 'Arubah narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "And will teach you the interpretation of narratives," he said: So He did, and He taught him the expression of narratives, and it is: the interpretation of narratives.
11341 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us, in what he wrote to me, [saying] Asbagh ibn al-Faraj informed us, [who] said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying regarding His saying, the Almighty: "And will teach you the interpretation of narratives," he said: The interpretation of speech [is]: knowledge and wisdom. Joseph was the most capable of people at interpreting, and he recited: "And when he reached his maturity, We gave him judgment and knowledge."

زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ: إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لِلإِنْسَانِ عَدُوٌّ مُبِينٌ قَالَ: عَادَوْهُ، فَإِنَّهُ يَحِقُّ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ عَدَاوَتُهُ، وعَدَاوَتُهُ، أَنْ تُعَادِيَهُ بِطَاعَةِ اللَّهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَكَذَلِكَ
١١٣٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مُوسَى، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ، قَوْلَهُ: وكذلك يعني:
هكذا.
قوله تَعَالَى: يَجْتَبِيكَ رَبُّكَ
١١٣٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثَنَا صَفْوَانُ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، ثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ: وَكَذَلِكَ يَجْتَبِيكَ رَبُّكَ قَالَ: يَصْطَفِيكَ بِتَأْوِيلِ الأَحَادِيثِ. قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ:
لَيْسَ عِنْدَ أَبِي الْجُمَاهِرِ.
١١٣٣٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ: اجْتَبَاهُ: اصْطَفَاهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَيُعَلِّمُكَ مِنْ تَأْوِيلِ الأَحَادِيثِ
١١٣٣٩ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نُجَيْحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «١»
، قَوْلُهُ: مِنْ تَأْوِيلِ الأَحَادِيثِ قَالَ: عِبَارَةُ الرُّؤْيَا.
١١٣٤٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، ثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَوْلُهُ: وَيُعَلِّمُكَ مِنْ تَأْوِيلِ الأَحَادِيثِ فَفَعَلَ وَعَلَّمَهُ مِنْ عَبْرِ الأَحَادِيثِ، وَهِيَ: تَأْوِيلُ الأَحَادِيثِ.
١١٣٤١ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ، فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، أَنَا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ يَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: وَيُعَلِّمُكَ مِنْ تَأْوِيلِ الأَحَادِيثِ قَالَ: تَأْوِيلُ الْكَلامِ: الْعِلْمُ وَالْحُكْمُ، وَكَانَ يُوسُفُ أَعْبُرُ النَّاسِ، وَقَرَأَ:
وَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ آتَيْنَاهُ حكما وعلما.
