11910 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn ‘Isa narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq: Then Ya‘qub said to his sons, while he was maintaining his good opinion of his Lord despite the grief he was in: "O my sons, go to these lands from which you came and find out about Yusuf and his brother, and despair not of the mercy of Allah."

His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, no one despairs of the mercy of Allah except the disbelieving people."

11914 - ‘Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali ibn Mihran narrated to us, ‘Amir ibn al-Furat narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, meaning His saying: "So when they entered upon him," he said: When they returned to him, they said: "O Aziz, we and our family have been afflicted by harm."
His saying, the Almighty: "O Aziz, we and our family have been afflicted by harm."

11916 - My father narrated to us, Ibn Nufayl al-Harrani narrated to us, al-Nadr ibn ‘Arabi narrated to us, who said: It reached me that Ya‘qub said: "O my sons, go and find out about Yusuf and his brother." They set out to Egypt, and when they entered upon him, they could not find words more gentle than those they used to greet him, so they said: "O Aziz, we and our family have been afflicted by harm."
هَلْ قُبِضَتْ رَوْحُ يُوسُفَ؟ قَالَ: لَا، فَعِنْدَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ: يَا بَنِيَّ اذْهَبُوا فَتَحَسَّسُوا مِنْ يُوسُفَ وَأَخِيهِ وَلا تَيْأَسُوا مِنْ رَوْحِ اللَّهِ
١١٩١٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثنا سَلَمَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ: ثُمَّ إِنَّ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ لِبَنِيهِ وَهُوَ عَلَى حُسْنِ ظَنِّهِ بِرَبِّهِ، مَعَ الَّذِي هُوَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْحُزْنِ يَا بَنِيَّ اذْهَبُوا إِلَى هَذِهِ الْبِلادِ الَّتِي مِنْهَا جِئْتُمْ فَتَحَسَّسُوا مِنْ يُوسُفَ وَأَخِيهِ وَلا تَيْأَسُوا مِنْ رَوْحِ اللَّهِ
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَلا تَيْأَسُوا مِنْ رَوْحِ اللَّهِ.
١١٩١١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا أَبُو الْجُمَاهِرِ أنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، ثنا قَتَادَةُ وَلا تَيْأَسُوا مِنْ رَوْحِ اللَّهِ أَىْ: مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهُ.
١١٩١٢ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا سَلَمَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَوْلُهُ: وَلا تَيْأَسُوا مِنْ رَوْحِ اللَّهِ أَيْ: مِنْ فُرْجَةِ اللَّهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّهُ لَا يَيْأَسُ مِنْ رَوْحِ اللَّهِ إِلا الْقَوْمُ الْكَافِرُونَ.

١١٩١٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ثنا عَامِرِ بْنِ الْفُرَاتِ عَنْ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ: فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ قَالَ: فَلَمَّا رَجَعُوا إِلَيْهِ قَالُوا: يَا أَيُّهَا العزيز مسنا وأهلنا الضر
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: يَا أَيُّهَا الْعَزِيزُ مَسَّنَا وَأَهْلَنَا الضُّرُّ
١١٩١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا أَبُو الْجُمَاهِرِ، أَنْبَأَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ ثنا قَتَادَةُ يَا أَيُّهَا الْعَزِيزُ مَسَّنَا وَأَهْلَنَا الضُّرُّ أَيِ الضُّرُّ فِي الْمَعِيشَةِ.
١١٩١٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا ابْنُ نُفَيْلٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا النَّضْرُ بْنُ عَرَبِيٍّ قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ: يَا بَنِيَّ اذْهَبُوا فَتَحَسَّسُوا مِنْ يُوسُفَ وَأَخِيهِ فَخَرَجُوا إِلَى مِصْرَ، فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ لَمْ يَجِدُوا كَلامًا أَرَقُّ مِنْ كَلامٍ اسْتَقْبَلُوهُ بِهِ فَقَالُوا: يَا أَيُّهَا الْعَزِيزُ مَسَّنَا وَأَهْلَنَا الضُّرُّ.
