His saying, the Almighty: "No reproach upon you today."
11946 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-Musaffa narrated to us, Mu‘awiyah ibn Hafs narrated to us, from Isra’il, from Abu Yahya, from Mujahid regarding: "No reproach upon you today," he said: No rebuke.
11947 - ‘Ali ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, Abu al-Jamahir narrated to us, Sa‘id ibn Bashir informed us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "No reproach upon you today; Allah will forgive you." He said: They encountered a forbearing man who did not blame nor reproach them for their deeds.
11948 - Muhammad ibn al-‘Abbas, the freedman of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq who said: "No reproach upon you today," meaning: No blame upon you today for what you have done.
11949 - My father narrated to us, Ibn Abi ‘Umar narrated to us, he said: Sufyan said regarding His saying: "No reproach upon you today," he said: No finding fault with you today.
11950 - Mawhab ibn Yazid ibn Mawhab al-Ramli narrated to us, Damrah ibn Rabi‘ah narrated to us, from Raja’ ibn Abi Salamah, from ‘Ata’ al-Khurasani, who said: Seeking needs from the young is easier than from the old. Have you not seen the statement of Yusuf: "No reproach upon you today," and Ya‘qub said: "I will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord."
His saying, the Almighty: "Allah will forgive you, and He is the most merciful of the merciful."
11951 - My father narrated to us, ‘Abd Allah ibn Abi Ziyad narrated to us, Sayyar narrated to us, Ja‘far narrated to us, who said: I heard the two sons of ‘Imran al-Jawni say: By Allah, we have never heard of a pardon like the pardon of Yusuf. He said: "No reproach upon you today; Allah will forgive you, and He is the most merciful of the merciful."
11952 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, al-Muqaddami narrated to us, Daylam ibn Ghazwan narrated to us, Malik ibn Dinar narrated to us, who said: A man was sent to ten of the people of Basra, I was among them, and al-Hasan was there too. We greeted him, then al-Hasan praised Allah and extolled Him and mentioned what Allah willed him to mention, until he reached the mention of Yusuf and what his brothers perpetrated against him, so he made himself known to them, then he received them with forgiveness for them: "No reproach upon you today; Allah will forgive you." Allah was pleased with this from him as a deed and recorded it in His Book so that it might be taken as an example by those after him. The leader said: If I were to cover you with this cloak of mine, nothing would ever afflict you.
11953 - Muhammad ibn al-‘Abbas, the freedman of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Salamah narrated to us.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لا تَثْرِيبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ.
١١٩٤٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ: لَا تَثْرِيبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ قَالَ: لَا أَبَاءٌ.
١١٩٤٧ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا أَبُو الْجُمَاهِرِ أَنْبَأَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ: لَا تَثْرِيبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ. قَالَ: لَقُوا رَجُلا حَلِيمًا لَمْ يَبُث وَلَمْ يَثْرِبْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ.
١١٩٤٨ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: لَا تَثْرِيبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ. أَيْ: لَا تَأْنِيبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ فِيمَا صَنَعْتُمْ.
١١٩٤٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ سُفْيَانُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: لَا تَثْرِيبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ. قَالَ: لَا تَعْيِيرَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ.
١١٩٥٠ - حَدَّثَنَا مَوْهَبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، ثنا ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ رَجَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ، قَالَ: طَلَبُ الْحَوَائِجِ إِلَى الشَّبَابِ أَسْهَلُ مِنْهَا عِنْدَ الشُّيُوخِ، أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى قَوْلِ يُوسُفُ: لَا تَثْرِيبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ. وَقَالَ يَعْقُوبُ سَوْفَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكُمْ رَبِّي.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَهُوَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ.
١١٩٥١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ثنا سَيَّارٌ ثنا جَعْفَرٌ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابنا عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ يَقُولانِ: أَمَا وَاللَّهِ مَا سَمِعْنَا بِعَفْوٍ قَطُّ مِثْلَ عَفْوِ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ:
لَا تَثْرِيبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَهُوَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ.
١١٩٥٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثنا ديلم بْنُ غَزْوَانَ ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ قَالَ: أُرْسِلَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى عَشَرَةٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ أَنَا فِيهِمْ وَالْحَسَنُ، فَسَلَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَ حَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَذَكَرَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَذْكُرَ، حَتَّى أَتَى عَلَى ذِكْرِ يُوسُفَ وَمَا ارْتَكَبَ مِنْهُ إِخْوَتُهُ فَعَرَّفَهُمْ نَفْسَهُ، ثُمَّ اسْتَقْبَلَهُمْ بِالْعَفْوِ عَنْهُمْ، لَا تَثْرِيبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ. فَرَضِيَ اللَّهُ بِهِ مِنْهُ عَمَلا وَأَثْبَتَهُ فِي كِتَابِهِ، لِيُؤْخَذَ بِهِ مِنْ بَعْدَهِ، فَقَالَ الأَمِيرُ: لَوْ صَارَ أَنَّ أُجَلِّلَكُمْ بِبُرْدِي هَذَا مَا أَصَابَكُمْ شَيْءٌ أَبَدًا.
