Translation · EN

His saying, the Exalted: "And if you do not find anyone therein."

14354 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, [saying]: Shababah narrated to us, [saying]: Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid (1), regarding "And if you do not find anyone therein," [he said]: If there is no property in it. And regarding His saying: "Then do not enter it until permission has been given to you," he said: Do not enter it except with permission.

14355 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, [saying]: Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, [saying]: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, [saying]: 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding His saying: "Then do not enter it until permission has been given to you," [he said]: That is, in entering. And regarding His saying: "And if it is said to you, 'Return,' then return," [he said]: Do not sit and do not stand at the doors of the people.

14356 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, [saying]: Sa'id ibn 'Abd Allah al-Tallas narrated to us, [saying]: A sheikh narrated to us, from Abu Rawq, regarding "And if it is said to you, 'Return,' then return," [he said]: It means: if they turn you away, then return and do not enter except with permission.

14357 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, [saying]: al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, [saying]: Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, [saying]: Sa'id ibn Abi 'Arubah narrated to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "And if it is said to you, 'Return,' then return; that is purer for you," [he said]: Do not sit at the door of a people while being filled with anger or vexation over something; that is purer for you.

His saying: "That is purer for you."

14358 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, [saying]: Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, [saying]: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, [saying]: 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "That is purer for you," [he said]: It means: returning is better for you than standing or sitting at their doors.

14359 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl ibn Musa, [who said]: Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, [who said]: Muhammad ibn Muzahim informed us, [who said]: Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf narrated to us, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, [who said]: Allah says: "That is purer for you," [he said]: It means: that is better for you.

His saying: "And Allah is Knowing of what you do."

14360 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, [saying]: Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, [saying]: 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, [saying]: 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "And Allah is Knowing of what you do," [he said]: It means: He is knowing of what will happen.
