14381 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, [saying]: al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, [who said]: Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, [who said]: Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "and guard their private parts" from what is not lawful for them.
14382 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, [who said]: Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, [who said]: Muhammad ibn Muzahim narrated to us, [who said]: Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf narrated to us, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding His saying: "and guard their private parts," [he said]: Meaning: from adultery.
His saying, the Exalted: "That is purer for them."
14383 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, [saying]: Ibn Bukayr narrated to us, [who said]: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, [who said]: 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "That is purer," [he said]: Meaning: lowering the gaze and guarding the private parts is better for them.
His saying: "Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do."
14384 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, [saying]: Asbagh informed me, [and] he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd saying regarding the saying of Allah: "do" (yasna'un), [he said]: "They do" (yasna'un) and "they work" (ya'malun) are one and the same.
His saying: "And tell."
14385 - 'Ali ibn Tahir narrated to us, [saying]: Muhammad ibn al-'Ala' Abu Kurayb narrated to us, [who said]: 'Uthman ibn Sa'id al-Zayyat narrated to us, [who said]: Bishr ibn 'Umarah narrated to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: Gabriel said: "Tell, O Muhammad."
His saying: "the believing women."
14386 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, [saying]: Ibn Bukayr narrated to us, [who said]: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, [who said]: 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "the believing women," [he said]: Meaning: those who believe/affirm.
His saying: "that they [should] reduce [some] of their vision."
14387 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Abu Salih narrated to us, [who said]: Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And tell the believing women that they [should] reduce [some] of their vision," [he said]: They should reduce their vision from their desires regarding what Allah dislikes.
14388 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Hisham ibn 'Ubayd Allah narrated to us, [who said]: 'Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from Sufyan, regarding His saying: "And tell the believing women that they [should] reduce [some] of their vision" from what is not lawful for them.
١٤٣٨١ - حدثنا محمد بن يحي، أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ: وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ عَمَّا لَا يَحِلُّ لَهُمْ.
١٤٣٨٢ - قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ، ثنا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قَوْلُهُ: وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ يَقُولُ:
مِنَ الزِّنَا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ذَلِكَ أَزْكَى لهم.
١٤٣٨٣ - حدثنا أبو زرعة، ثنا بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: ذَلِكَ أَزْكَى يَعْنِى غَضُّ الْبَصَرِ وَحِفْظُ الْفَرْجِ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ.
قوله: إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ.
١٤٣٨٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، أنبأ أَصْبَغُ فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ يَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: يَصْنَعُونَ قَالَ: يَصْنَعُونَ وَيَعْمَلُونَ وَاحِدٌ.
قوله: وَقُلْ.
١٤٣٨٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ طَاهِرٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ العلا أبو كريب، ثنا عثمان ابن سَعِيدٍ الزَّيَّاتُ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
قَالَ جِبْرِيلُ: قُلْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ.
قَوْلُهُ: لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ.
١٤٣٨٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ ابْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: للمؤمنات يَعْنِى الْمُصَدِّقَاتِ.
قوله: يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ.
١٤٣٨٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلُهُ: وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ قَالَ:
يَغْضُضْنَ أَبْصَارَهُنَّ مِنْ شَهَوَاتِهِنَّ فِيمَا يَكْرَهُ اللَّهُ.
١٤٣٨٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ عَمَّا لَا يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ.
