from Abu al-Ahwas, from 'Abd Allah, regarding His saying: "And not expose their adornment," [he said]: The adornment is the earring, the bracelet, the anklet, and the necklace.
14396 - 'Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Amr al-Ghazzi narrated to us, [saying]: Nu'aym ibn Hammad narrated to us, [who said]: Ziyad ibn al-Rabi' al-Yahmadi narrated to us, [who said]: Salih al-Dahhan narrated to us, from Jabir ibn Zayd, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And not expose their adornment," [he said]: The surface of the face and the palm of the hand.
14397 - It was read to Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la, [who said]: Ibn Wahb informed us, [who said]: Ibn Lahi'ah informed me, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Ibn Shihab, regarding the saying of Allah: "And not expose their adornment." Ibn Shihab said: He said: "It shall not appear to those whom Allah has named of those for whom it is not lawful, except the bracelets, the veils, and the earrings, without uncovering. As for the general public, nothing of it shall appear except the rings."

14398 - al-Ashaj narrated to us, [saying]: Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding: "And not expose their adornment except what is apparent of it," [he said]: Her face, her hands, and the ring. It has been narrated from Ibn 'Umar, 'Ata' ibn Abi Rabah, Sa'id ibn Jubayr, Ibrahim al-Nakha'i, al-Dahhak, 'Ikrimah, Abu Salih, and Ziyad ibn Abi Maryam similar to that.
And the second interpretation:
14399 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, [saying]: Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Malik ibn al-Harith, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid, from 'Abd Allah, regarding: "And not expose their adornment except what is apparent of it," [he said]: The outer garment.
14400 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, [saying]: Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Ahwas, from 'Abd Allah, who said: The garments. It has been narrated from al-Hasan, Ibn Sirin, Abu Salih Mahan in one of the narrations, Abu al-Jawza', and Ibrahim in one of the narrations, similar to that.
14401 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, [saying]: 'Abd Allah ibn Qabisah narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding: "And not expose their adornment except what is apparent of it," [he said]: The garments, the dye, the ring, and the kohl.
