The sixth view:
14494 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, [saying]: Ya'la reported, from Isma'il, from Abu Salih, regarding "Then make a contract with them if you know [there is] within them goodness," he said: The fulfillment of the trust.
14495 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Abu Ghassan Malik ibn Isma'il reported, [saying]: Mas'ud ibn Sa'd reported, from 'Abd al-Malik, from 'Ata', regarding "if you know [there is] within them goodness," he said: Goodness; fulfillment and trustworthiness. It was also narrated from 'Atiyyah al-'Awfi similar to that.
The seventh view:
14496 - Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani narrated to me, [saying]: Hafs ibn 'Umar al-'Adani reported, [saying]: al-Hakam ibn Aban reported, from 'Ikrimah, regarding His saying: "if you know [there is] within them goodness," he says: If you know that in their contract there is goodness for you, then make a contract with them.
The eighth view:
14497 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, [saying]: Abu Sufyan reported, from Ma'mar, from Qatadah, regarding "if you know [there is] within them goodness," he said: It means he has wealth or a craft.
14498 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Hudbah ibn Khalid reported, [saying]: Ayyub ibn Waqid reported, from al-Zibriqan, from Abu Razin, regarding His saying: "if you know [there is] within them goodness," he said: If you know they have earnings [such that] they are able to fulfill [the contract] to you.
The ninth view:
14499 - It was read to Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la, [saying]: Ibn Wahb informed us, [saying]: And 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam narrated to me, from his father, regarding the saying of Allah: "Then make a contract with them if you know [there is] within them goodness," he said: Goodness is the strength for that. It was also narrated from Khusayf, from 'Ikrimah: That it is strength.
The tenth view:
14500 - It was mentioned from Abu al-Tahir, [saying]: Ibn Wahb informed us, [saying]: al-Layth informed me, regarding the saying of Allah: "Then make a contract with them if you know [there is] within them goodness," he said: Prudence.
14501 - It was mentioned from Salm al-Razi and Hazr ibn al-Mubarak, who both said: Bishr ibn al-Sari reported to us, [saying]: Hammad ibn Salamah reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih: Regarding "if you know [there is] within them goodness," he said: Intelligence.
وَالْوَجْهُ السَّادِسُ:
١٤٤٩٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا يَعْلَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا قَالَ: أَدَاءَ الأَمَانَةِ.
١٤٤٩٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو غَسَّانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثنا مَسْعُودُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا قَالَ: خَيْرًا، أَدَاءً وَأَمَانَةً، وَرُوِِىِ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ.
وَالْوَجْهُ السَّابِعُ:
١٤٤٩٦ - حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ، ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا يَقُولُ: إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ أَنَّ فِيَ كِتَابَتِهِمْ لَكُمْ خَيْرًا فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّامِنُ:
١٤٤٩٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَبُو سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا قَالَ: يَعْنِى لَهُ مَالا أَوْ حِرْفَةً.
١٤٤٩٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ عَنِ الزِّبْرِقَانِ، عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فيهم خيرا قال: إن علمتم عندهم كسب يَسْتَطِيعُونَ أَنْ يُؤَدُّوا إِلَيْكُمْ.
وَالْوَجْهُ التَّاسِعُ:
١٤٤٩٩ - قُرِئَ عَلَى يُونُسَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا قَالَ: الْخَيْرُ الْقُوَّةُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ
، وَرُوِِىِ عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ: إِنَّهُ الْقُوَّةُ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الْعَاشِرُ
١٤٥٠٠ - ذكر عن أبو الطَّاهِرِ، أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي اللَّيْثُ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ:
فَكَاتِبُوهُمْ إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا قال: حزما.
١٤٥٠١ - ذكر عن سلم الرازي، وحزر ابن الْمُبَارَكِ قَالا:، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ: إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا قَالَ عَقْلا.
