14584 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, [saying]: al-Husayn ibn 'Ali ibn Mihran reported, [saying]: 'Amir ibn al-Furat reported, [saying]: Asbat reported from al-Suddi regarding: "The glass as if it were a brilliant star," the glass is the heart, and the niche is the breast. When this lamp entered into the glass, it illuminated, and thus the heart illuminated. Then it emerged from the glass and the niche illuminated, and thus the breast illuminated. Then the light descended from the opening and the house illuminated, and thus the light descended from the breast and the entire interior illuminated, so no forbidden thing could enter it.
14585 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, [saying]: Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah reported, [saying]: Marwan ibn Mu'awiyah reported from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak regarding His saying: "A brilliant star," he said: It is Venus (al-Zuhra).
14586 - Abu 'Abd Allah al-Tihrani informed us in what he wrote to me, [saying]: 'Abd al-Razzaq reported, [saying]: Ma'mar reported from Qatadah regarding: "As if it were a brilliant star," he says: This is a parable Allah set forth for this.
His saying: "Brilliant" (Durriyy).
14587 - Kathir ibn Shihab narrated to us, [saying]: Muhammad ibn Sa'id ibn Sabiq reported, [saying]: Abu Ja'far reported from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b regarding His saying: "As if it were a brilliant star," he says: An illuminating star.
14588 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, [saying]: al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid reported, [saying]: Yazid ibn Zuray' reported, [saying]: Sa'id reported from Qatadah regarding His saying: "A brilliant star," he said: That is, shining and illuminating.
14589 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, [saying]: Ahmad ibn al-Sabah reported, [saying]: al-Khaffaf, meaning 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn 'Ata', reported, [saying]: Abu 'Amr read "Dirriyy" with a hamza, meaning illuminating, and Harun [reported] from Abu Ishaq similarly.
14590 - Musa ibn Harun al-Tusi informed us in what he wrote to me, [saying]: al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Marwazi reported, [saying]: Shayban ibn 'Abd al-Rahman reported from Qatadah regarding His saying: "As if it were a brilliant star," he said: A large star.
