His saying: "That Allah may reward them [according to] the best of what they used to do and increase them from His bounty."
14663 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Suwayd ibn Sa'id reported to us, [saying]: 'Ali ibn Mushir reported to us, [saying]: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ishaq reported to us, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Asma' bint Yazid, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When Allah gathers the first and the last on the Day of Resurrection, a caller will come and call out with a voice that all creation will hear: 'The people of the gathering will know today who is most deserving of generosity. Let those who are not diverted by trade or sale from the remembrance of Allah stand.' So they will stand, and they will be few, then the rest of the people will be held to account."(1)
His saying, the Exalted: "And increase them from His bounty."
14664 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, [saying]: Muhammad ibn Musaffa reported to us, [saying]: Baqiyyah reported to us, [saying]: Isma'il ibn 'Abd Allah al-Kindi reported to us, from al-A'mash, regarding His saying: "And increase them from His bounty," he said: The intercession for those for whom the Fire was made necessary, from among those to whom they had done good in the world.
His saying: "And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account."
[The First Aspect]
14665 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: 'Abd Allah ibn Ja'far al-Raqqi reported to us, [saying]: Abu al-Malih reported to us, from Maymun ibn Mihran, regarding "without account," he said: Abundant. It was narrated from al-Walid ibn Qays similar to this.
[The Second Aspect]
14666 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman reported to us, [saying]: 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ja'far reported to us, from his father, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, regarding His saying: "He gives provision to whom He wills without account," he said: He does not disburse it by [a system of] account, fearing that what He has will decrease. Verily, Allah does not decrease what He has.
His saying: "But those who disbelieved - their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland."
14667 - Muhammad ibn 'Ammar ibn al-Harith narrated to us, [saying]: 'Ubayd Allah ibn Musa reported to us, [saying]: Abu Ja'far al-Razi informed us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, regarding this verse: "But those who disbelieved - their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland," he said: Then Allah set forth a parable for the disbeliever, saying: "But those who disbelieved - their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland." He said: So he will come on the Day of Resurrection thinking that he has some good with Allah, but he will not find it, so Allah will cause him to enter the Fire.
