Qatadah: "Do you not see that Allah, He is glorified by whoever is in the heavens and the earth?" He said: The believer prostrates willingly, and the disbeliever prostrates unwillingly.
14699 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, [saying]: Safwan reported to us, [saying]: al-Walid reported to us, [saying]: Sa'id reported from Qatadah regarding His saying: "He is glorified by whoever is in the heavens and the earth." He said: He has left nothing of His creation but that He has made it a servant to Him, willingly or unwillingly.
His saying: "And [as well as] the birds with wings outspread."
14700 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, [saying]: Shababah reported to us, [saying]: Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "and the birds with wings outspread," [meaning:] the spreading of their wings.

14702 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, [saying]: Shababah reported to us, [saying]: Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "Each [one] has known its prayer and glorification." [His saying: "And Allah is All-Knowing of what they do."]
Its explanation has preceded; "All-Knowing" ('alim) means the Knower (a'lim).
His saying: "And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah is the final destination."
Its explanation has preceded.
14704 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Nasr ibn 'Ali reported to us, [saying]: al-Asma'i informed us, [saying]: al-Namir ibn Hilal reported to us, from Qatadah, from Abu al-Jild, who said: The earth is twenty-four thousand parasangs; the Sudan [region] is twelve, the Romans (Rum) are eight, the Persian [land] is three, and for the Arabs is one thousand.
