His saying: "the flash of its lightning."
14718 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Ibrahim ibn Musa reported to us, [saying]: Hisham ibn Yusuf reported to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from 'Ata', from Ibn 'Abbas: "the flash of its lightning" (yakadu sana barqihi) means the light of its lightning.
14719 - al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid ibn Mazid al-Bayruti informed us by reading to him, [saying]: Muhammad ibn Shu'ayb informed me, [saying]: 'Uthman ibn 'Ata' reported to me, from his father: "the flash of its lightning" (yakadu sana barqihi), so it is said: the light of its lightning almost takes away the eyesight.
14720 - Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani informed us in what he wrote to me, [saying]: 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, [saying]: Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "the flash of its lightning" (yakadu sana barqihi), he said: The gleam of the lightning almost takes away the eyesight.
His saying: "takes away the eyesight."
14721 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Ibn Abi 'Umar reported to us, [saying]: Sufyan reported to us, from 'Amr ibn Dinar regarding His saying: "the flash of its lightning takes away the eyesight," he said: I have not seen anyone whose eyesight was taken away by lightning, but He sends thunderbolts and strikes with them whom He wills.
14722 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman ibn al-Ash'ath narrated to us, [saying]: al-Husayn ibn 'Ali ibn Mihran reported to us, [saying]: 'Amir ibn al-Furat reported to us, [saying]: Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "the flash of its lightning takes away the eyesight," he says: Its lightning light causes the eye to gleam from it.
His saying: "Allah alternates the night and the day."
14723 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, [saying]: al-Husayn ibn 'Ali reported to us, [saying]: 'Amir ibn al-Furat reported to us, [saying]: Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi regarding "Allah alternates the night and the day," [he says]: As for "Allah alternates the night and the day," it means He brings the night and causes the day to depart, and He brings the day and causes the night to depart.
His saying, the Exalted: "Indeed in that is a lesson for those with vision."
14724 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki reported to us, [saying]: 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ja'far reported to us, from his father, from al-Rabi', regarding His saying: "Indeed in that is a lesson for those with vision," he says: There was indeed in these a lesson and a subject for contemplation.
قوله: يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِ.
١٤٧١٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِ ضَوْءُ بَرْقِهِ.
١٤٧١٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدٍ الْبَيْرُوتِيُّ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِ فَيُقَالُ: يَكَادُ ضَوْءُ بَرْقِهِ يَذْهَبُ بِالْأَبْصَارِ.
١٤٧٢٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ فِي
قَوْلِهِ: يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِ قَالَ: لَمَعَانُ الْبَرْقِ يَكَادُ يَذْهَبُ بِالأَبْصَارِ.
قَوْلُهُ: يَذْهَبُ بِالأَبْصَارِ.
١٤٧٢١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِ يَذْهَبُ بِالأَبْصَارِ قَالَ: لَمْ أَرْ أَحَدًا ذَهَبَ الْبَرْقُ بِبَصَرِهِ وَلَكِنْ يُرْسِلُ الصَّوَاعِقَ فَيُصِيبُ بِهَا مَنْ يَشَاءُ.
١٤٧٢٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الأَشْعَثَ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، ثنا عَامِرُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قوله: يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِ يَذْهَبُ بِالأَبْصَارِ يَقُولُ: فَضَوءُ بَرْقِهِ يَلْمَعُ الْبَصَرُ مِنْهُ.
قَوْلُهُ: يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ.
١٤٧٢٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا عَامِرُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ أَمَّا يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي بِاللَّيْلِ وَيَذْهَبُ بِالنَّهَارِ وَيَأْتِي بِالنَّهَارِ وَيَذْهَبُ بِاللَّيْلِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لأُولِي الأَبْصَارِ.
١٤٧٢٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّشْتَكِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ قَوْلُهُ: إِنْ فِي ذَلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لأُولِي الأَبْصَارِ، يَقُولُ: لَقَدْ كَانَ فِي هَؤُلاءِ عِبْرَةٌ وَمُتَفَكَّرٌ.
