13699 - My father told us, Musa ibn Isma'il told us, Hammad told us, Ali ibn Zayd informed us, from Yusuf ibn Mihran, from Ibn Abbas, who said: 'Allah clothed him in a garment from Paradise, so Job stepped aside and sat in a corner. His wife came and did not recognize him, so she said: "O servant of Allah, where has that afflicted one who was here gone? Perhaps the dogs or wolves have taken him away? For Allah has restored my body."'
13700 - From Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: 'When Allah restored Job to health, He rained upon him locusts of gold. He began picking them up with his hand and placing them in his garment. It was said to him: "O Job, are you not satisfied?" He replied: "And who can be satisfied with the bounty and mercy of Allah?"
His saying (Exalted is He): "And Dhu al-Kifl"
13701 - From Mujahid, regarding His saying: "And Dhu al-Kifl," he said: 'A righteous man who was not a prophet. He guaranteed for his people's prophet that he would suffice him in the affairs of his people, oversee them for him, and judge between them with justice. He did that, so he was called Dhu al-Kifl [the Possessor of the Guarantee].'
13702 - Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna told us, Affan told us, Wuhayb told us, Dawud told us, from Mujahid, who said: 'When... al-Yasa' (Elisha) said: "If only I could appoint a man over the people to act on their behalf during my lifetime, so that I may see how he acts?" So he gathered the people and said: "Who will guarantee three things for me? I will appoint him: he shall fast during the day, pray during the night, and not get angry." A man whom the eye might belittle stood up and said: "I." He said: "You will fast during the day, pray during the night, and not get angry?" He said: "Yes." He sent them away that day and said the same on the following day. The people remained silent, and that man stood up and said: "I." So he appointed him. He said: 'Iblis began saying to the devils: "You must take care of so-and-so." They were unable to do so, so he said: "Leave him to me." He came to him in the form of an old, poor man. He came to him when he had taken his resting place for his midday nap—and he would not sleep at night or day except for that nap—and he knocked on the door. He asked: "Who is this?" He said: "A wronged, old man." He stood up and opened the door, and he began to relate to him, saying: "There is a dispute between me and my people; they have wronged me and have done such and such to me." He continued to prolong it until the time for departing had arrived and the midday nap had passed. He said: "When I leave, come to me and I will take your right for you." He left and departed, and he was in his gathering, looking to see if he could see the old man, but he did not see him. He stood up to follow him, and when the next day came, he began judging between the people and waiting for him.'

١٣٦٩٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا حَمَّادُ، أخبرنا عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: ألبسه الله حُلَّةً مِنَ الْجَنَّة فَتَنَحَّى أَيْوبَ فَجَلَسَ فِي نَاحِيةٍ، وَجَاءَتُ امْرَأَتُهُ فَلَمْ تَعْرِفْهُ فَقَالَتْ: يَا عَبْد الله، أين ذهب هَذَا الْمُبْتَلَى الّذِي كَانَ هَاهُنَا؟ لَعَلَّ الْكِلابَ ذَهَبَتْ به أو الذئاب، قد رد الله عَلَى جسدي «١» .
١٣٧٠٠ - عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَمَّا عافي الله أَيْوبَ أمطر عليه جرادًا مِنْ ذهب، فجعل يأخذه بيده ويجعله في ثوبه فقيل لَهُ: يا أَيْوبَ، أما تشبع؟ قَالَ: ومن يشبع مِنْ فضلك ورحمتك؟ «٢» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: وذا الكفل
١٣٧٠١ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وذا الكفل قَالَ: رجل صالح غير نَبِيّ، تكفل لنبي قَوْمِهِ إِنَّ يكفيه أمر قَوْمِهِ ويقيمهم لَهُ ويقضي بَيْنَهُمْ بالعدل ففعل ذَلِكَ فسمي ذا الكفل «٣» .
١٣٧٠٢ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّد بن المثنى ثنا عفان ثنا وهيب ثنا داود عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ:
لما...... اليسع قَالَ: لو أني استخلفت رَجُلاً عَلَى الناس يعمل عَلَيْهِمْ في حياتي، حتى أنظر كيف يعمل؟ فجمع الناس، فقال: مِنْ يتقبل مني بثلاث: أستخلفه بصوم النهار، ويقوم الليل، ولا يغضب. قَالَ: فقام رجل تزدريه العين فقال: أنا. فقال:
أنت تصوم النهار، وتقوم الليل، ولا تغضب؟ قَالَ: نعم، قَالَ: فردهم ذَلِكَ اليوم، وَقَالَ مثلها في اليوم الآخر، فسكت الناس، وقام ذَلِكَ الرجل وَقَالَ: أنا، فاستخلفه، قَالَ: وجعل إبليس يَقُولُ للشياطين: عليكم بفلان فأعياهم ذلك، قال: دعوني وإياه، فأتاه في صورة شيخ كبير فقير، فأتاه حين أخذ مضجعه للقائلة، وكان لا ينام الليل والنهار إلا تلك النومة فدق الباب، فقال: من هذا؟ قَالَ: شيخ كبير مظلوم. قَالَ:
فقام ففتح الباب فجعل يقص عليه، فقال: إِنَّ بيني وبين قومي خصومة، وإنهم ظلموني وفعلوا بي وفعلوا، وجعل يطول عليه حتى حصر الرواح وذهبت القائلة، فقال: إِذَا رحت فأتي آخذ لك بحقك، فانطلق، وراح، فكان في مجلسه فجعل ينظر هل يرى الشيخ؟ فلم يره فقام يتبعه، فلما كَانَ الغد جعل يقضي بين الناس، وينتظره
