[with] permission under all circumstances. This is His saying: "And when the children among you reach puberty, let them ask permission, as those before them asked permission."
14820 - My father narrated to us, ‘Abdah reported to us, Ibn al-Mubarak informed us, Yunus informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Sa‘id ibn al-Musayyib who said: A man should ask permission to enter upon his mother, for the verse "And when the children among you reach puberty" was revealed concerning that.
14821 - My father narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Dahhak reported to us, al-Walid ibn Muslim reported to us, al-Awza‘i reported to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir who said: If a boy is a child (raba‘i), he should ask permission to enter upon his parents during the three private times. When he reaches puberty, he must ask permission under all circumstances.
14822 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr reported to us, Ibn Lahi‘ah narrated to me, ‘Ata’ ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "Then let them ask permission," meaning during the three times and at other times, night and day, whenever they enter upon their parents.
14823 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn ‘Ali reported to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim reported to us, Bukayr ibn Ma‘ruf reported to us, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan regarding His saying: "And when the children among you reach puberty, let them ask permission," he says: Let them ask permission under all circumstances and at all times.
His saying (the Exalted): "As those before them asked permission."
14824 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Yahya reported to us, Ibn Lahi‘ah narrated to me, ‘Ata’ narrated to me, from Sa‘id regarding Allah’s saying: "As those before them asked permission," meaning as the adults among a man’s offspring and relatives asked permission.
14826 - And with his chain of narration to Muqatil ibn Hayyan regarding His saying: "As those before them asked permission," he says: As those who reached puberty before them asked permission, those who were commanded to seek permission under all circumstances.
His saying (the Exalted): "Allah makes clear to you His verses."
14827 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Yahya reported to us, Ibn Lahi‘ah narrated to me, ‘Ata’ narrated to me, from Sa‘id regarding Allah’s saying: "Thus," he said: Thus Allah makes clear to you His verses, meaning what is in this verse.
بِإِذْنٍ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ وَهُوَ قَوْلُهُ: وَإِذَا بَلَغَ الأَطْفَالُ مِنْكُمُ الْحُلُمَ فَلْيَسْتَأْذِنُوا كَمَا اسْتَأْذَنَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ.
١٤٨٢٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدَةُ، أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أنا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ: لِيَسْتَأْذِنِ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى أُمِّهِ فَإِنَّمَا نَزَلَتْ وَإِذَا بَلَغَ الأَطْفَالُ مِنْكُمُ الْحُلُمَ فِي ذَلِكَ.
١٤٨٢١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِير قَالَ: إِذَا كَانَ الْغُلامُ رَبَاعِيًا فَلْيَسْتَأْذِنْ فِي الْعَوْرَاتِ الثَّلاثِ عَلَى أَبَوَيْهِ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَ الْحُلُمَ فَلْيَسْتَأْذِنْ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ.
١٤٨٢٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلُهُ: فَلْيَسْتَأْذِنُوا يَعْنِى فِي السَّاعَاتِ الثَّلاثِ وَغَيْرِهَا اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ كُلَّمَا دَخَلُوا عَلَى آبَائِهِمْ.
١٤٨٢٣ - قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ، ثنا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قَوْلُهُ: وَإِذَا بَلَغَ الأَطْفَالُ مِنْكُمُ الْحُلُمَ فَلْيَسْتَأْذِنُوا يَقُولُ: فَلْيَسْتَأْذِنُوا عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ وَفِي كُلِّ حِينٍ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: كَمَا اسْتَأْذَنَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ
١٤٨٢٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: كَمَا اسْتَأْذَنَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ يَعْنِى كَمَا اسْتَأْذَنَ الْكِبَارُ مِنْ وَلَدِ الرَّجُلِ وَأَقَارِبِهِ.
١٤٨٢٦ - وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ إِلَى مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قَوْلُهُ: كَمَا اسْتَأْذَنَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ يَقُولُ كَمَا اسْتَأْذَنَ الَّذِينَ بَلَغُوا الْحُلُمَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمُ الَّذِينَ أُمِرُوا بِالاسْتِئْذَانِ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ.
قوله تعالى: يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ
١٤٨٢٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: كَذَلِكَ قَالَ: هَكَذَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ، يَعْنِى مَا يَكُونُ فِي هَذِهِ الآيَةِ.
