'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "So when you enter houses," meaning the houses of the Muslims.
His saying, the Almighty: "greet one another."
14894 - Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Muhal al-San'ani narrated to us in Mecca, 'Abd al-Razzaq reported to us, from Ma'mar, from 'Amr ibn Dinar, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "Greet one another with a greeting," he said: When you enter the mosque, say: "Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah."
14895 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid ibn Rashid al-Dimashqi reported to us, Sadaqah reported to us, from Zuhayr ibn Muhammad, from Ibn Jurayj, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah, who said: When you enter upon your family, greet them with a greeting from Allah, blessed and pure. He said: I have only seen him making it mandatory.
14896 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih reported to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "So when you enter houses, greet one another," he says: When you enter houses, greet their inhabitants.
14897 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Usamah reported to us, from Sufyan al-Thawri, from 'Abd al-Karim al-Jazari, from Mujahid: When you enter a house in which there is no one, say: "In the name of Allah, and praise be to Allah. Peace be upon us from our Lord; peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah."
14898 - 'Amr ibn 'Abd Allah al-Awdi narrated to us, Waki' reported to us, from Sufyan, from Dirar ibn Murrah, from Mujahid, regarding this verse: "So when you enter houses, greet one another," he said: When you enter a house in which there is no one, say: "Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah." When you enter the mosque, say: "Peace be upon the Messenger of Allah." And when you enter upon your family, say: "Peace be upon you."
14899 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah reported to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "greet one another," meaning some of you upon others, [that is] upon the people of your religion.
14900 - My father narrated to us, 'Abdah reported to us, Ibn al-Mubarak informed us, Dawud ibn Qays said: I heard Zayd ibn Aslam saying, regarding His saying, the Almighty: "greet one another," meaning the Muslims, [he] says: Greet the Muslims.
