If I were poor?" He said: "He heard him again and asked: 'What is wrong with you?' He said: 'I went to him and he struck me.' He said: 'Walk until I come with you.' He was holding his hand, and when he [the adversary] saw him walking with him, he pulled his hand away from him and fled.
His saying, the Almighty: "And Dhu al-Nun, when he went away in anger."
13704 - From al-Dahhak, regarding His saying: "And Dhu al-Nun, when he went away in anger," he said: "Angry at his people."
13705 - From Amr ibn Qays, he said: "There would be prophets altogether, and there would be one over them. It would be revealed to that prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—'Send so-and-so to the people of so-and-so.' And Allah said: 'When he went away in anger,' meaning: 'Angry at that prophet.'"
His saying, the Almighty: "And he thought that We would not restrict him."
13706 - From Ibn Abbas—may Allah be pleased with both of them—regarding His saying: "And he thought that We would not restrict him," he said: "He thought that the punishment which afflicted him would not overtake him."
13707 - From Mujahid—may Allah be pleased with him—regarding His saying: "And he thought that We would not restrict him," he said: "He thought that We would not punish him for that." 13708 - From Atiyyah, regarding His saying: "And he thought that We would not restrict him," he said: "That We would not decree against him."
13709 - From Ibn Abbas—may Allah be pleased with both of them—he said: "When Jonah (Yunus) called upon his people, Allah revealed to him that the punishment would overtake them. So he informed them, and they said: 'Jonah does not lie, and the punishment will surely overtake us. Come, let us take out the offspring of everything and place them with our children; perhaps Allah will have mercy on them.' They brought out the women with their young children, the camels with their colts, the cows with their calves, and the sheep with their lambs and placed them before them. The punishment approached... When they saw it, they cried out to Allah and prayed. The women and children wept, the camels and their colts groaned, the cows and their calves lowed, and the sheep and their lambs bleated. Allah had mercy on them and averted that punishment from them. Jonah became angry and said: 'I have been lied to.' That is the meaning of His saying: 'When he went away in anger.' He departed to the sea, and their ship was anchored, so he said: ..."

كنت غنياً؟ قَالَ: فسمع أيضاً، فقال: مالك؟ قَالَ: ذهبت إليه فضربني، قَالَ: امش حتى أجئ معك قَالَ: فهو ممسك بيده فلما راه ذهب معه نثر يده منه ففر «١» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: وَذَا النُّونِ إِذْ ذَهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا
١٣٧٠٤ - عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَذَا النُّونِ إِذْ ذَهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا قَالَ: مغاضبًا لقومه «٢» .
١٣٧٠٥ - عَنْ عمرو بن قيس قَالَ: كانت تكون أنبياء جميعًا يكون عَلَيْهِمْ وَاحِدٍ، فكان يوحى إِلَى ذَلِكَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَرْسَلَ فلان إلى بني فلان، فقال الله: إِذْ ذَهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا قَالَ: مغاضبًا لذلك النَّبِيّ «٣» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: فَظَنَّ إِنَّ لَنْ نَقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ
١٣٧٠٦ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا فِى قَوْلِهِ: فَظَنَّ إِنَّ لَنْ نَقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ: ظن إِنَّ لن يأخذه العذاب الّذِي أصابه «٤» .
١٣٧٠٧ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَظَنَّ إِنَّ لَنْ نَقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ:
ظن إِنَّ لن نعاقبه بِذَلِكَ «٥» .
١٣٧٠٨ - عَنْ عطية فِى قَوْلِهِ: فَظَنَّ إِنَّ لَنْ نَقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ: إِنَّ لن نقضي عَلَيْهِ «٦» .
١٣٧٠٩ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: لما دعا يونس قَوْمِهِ أوحى الله إليه إِنَّ العذاب يصحبهم، فقال لَهُمْ، فقالوا: مَا كذب يونس وليصبحنا العذاب، فتعالوا حتى نخرج سخال كُلّ شيء فنجعلها مع أولادنا لعل الله إِنَّ يرحمهم، فأخرجوا النساء مع الولدان وأخرجوا الإبل مع فصلانها، وأخرجوا البقر مع عجاجيلها وأخرجوا الغنم مع سخالها فجعلوه أمامهم، وأقبل العذاب.. فلما رأوه جاروا إلى الله ودعوا، وبكى النساء والولدان ورغت الإبل وفصلانه، وخارت البعر وعجاجيلها وثغت الغنم وسخالها فرجمهم الله فصرف ذلك العذاب عنهم، وغضب يونس فقال كذبت فهو قوله: إِذْ ذَهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا فمضى إِلَى البحر، وقد رست سفينتهم فقال:
