His saying, the Almighty: "And what they worship other than Allah."
15027 - Al-Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "And the day He will gather them and what they worship other than Allah," (meaning) these are 'Isa (Jesus), 'Uzayr (Ezra), and the angels.
His saying, the Almighty: "So He will say, 'Did you mislead these servants of Mine, or did they stray from the way?'"
15028 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl ibn Musa, Muhammad ibn 'Ali reported to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim reported to us, Bukayr reported to us, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding His saying: "Or did they stray from the way?" He says: "They missed the intended path."
His saying, the Almighty: "They will say, 'Exalted are You! It was not appropriate for us to take..."'
15029 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray', reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "They will say, 'Exalted are You! It was not appropriate for us to take besides You any allies.'" This is the speech of the deities.
His saying, the Almighty: "Any allies."
15030 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn al-Fadl reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "Any allies," he said: "As for the ally (wali), it is the one whom Allah takes as a guardian and who acknowledges His Lordship."
His saying, the Almighty: "But You granted them and their fathers comforts."
15031 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-'Awfi informed me in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to me, my uncle narrated to me, my father narrated to me, from his grandfather, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "But You granted them and their fathers comforts until they forgot the message." He says: "A people whose deeds have perished in the world, and they had no righteous deeds."
His saying, the Almighty: "Until they forgot the message."
15032 - It was read to Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la, Ibn Wahb informed us, he said: "I asked 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam about the saying of Allah: 'The message (al-dhikr).'" He said: "The Quran."
