Translation · EN

His saying, the Almighty: "And they are not able to turn [it] away or [get] help."

15041 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "And they are not able to turn [it] away or [get] help," [meaning:] the polytheists are not able to turn the punishment away, nor are they able to help themselves.

15042 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed me in what he wrote to me, Asbagh informed us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd regarding the saying of Allah the Almighty: "And they are not able to turn [it] away or [get] help," [meaning:] they are not able to avert the punishment from themselves that has descended upon them when they denied [the truth], nor can they offer help. He said: And a proclaimer will proclaim on the Day of Resurrection, when Allah gathers the creatures: "Why do you not help each other?" He said: "The one who was worshipped instead of Allah will not help today the one who worshipped him, and for the worshippers instead of Allah, their deity which was worshipped instead of Allah does not help [them] today." So Allah said: "But they are on that Day submissive," and he recited the saying of Allah: "So if you have a plan, then plan against Me."

His saying, the Almighty: "And whoever among you commits injustice, We will make him taste a great punishment."

15043 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith reported to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: "Everything that He attributed to other than Islam in terms of terminology—such as 'transgressor' (musrif), 'wrongdoer' (zalim), 'criminal' (mu'rim), 'corrupt' (fasiq), and 'loser' (khasir)—He only intends by it 'disbelief' (kufr). And what He attributed to Islam, He only intends by it 'a sin.'" He said: "And whoever among you commits injustice, We will make him taste a great punishment," he says: "Whoever among you disbelieves." He said: "And We have prepared for the wrongdoers," he says: "For the disbelievers."

15044 - Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani informed me in what he wrote to me, Isma'il ibn 'Abd al-Karim informed us, 'Abd al-Samad narrated to me that he heard Wahb saying: "I have read seventy-two books that descended from the sky, and I have never heard of a book in which injustice (zulm) is repeated more often, nor one that reprimands [man] for it more than the Quran. This is because Allah knew that the trial of this community would be in injustice, unlike the other communities, for He reprimanded them more concerning polytheism and the worship of idols. And He mentioned the reprimanding of this community regarding injustice, saying: 'And whoever among you commits injustice, We will make him taste a great punishment,' and 'Indeed, the curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers,' and he cited similar verses from the Quran."

قوله تعالى: فما يستطيعون صَرْفًا وَلا نَصْرًا

١٥٠٤١ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «١» قوله: فما يستطيعون صَرْفًا وَلا نَصْرًا الْمُشْرِكُونَ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ صَرْفَ الْعَذَابِ وَلا نَصْرَ أَنْفُسِهِمْ.

١٥٠٤٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ أَنْبَأَ أَصْبَغُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: فما يستطيعون صرفا ولا نصرا فما يستطيعون أن يصدقوا الْعَذَابَ عَنْهُمُ الَّذِي نَزَلَ بِهِمْ حِينَ كَذَّبُوا وَلا أَنْ يَنْصُرُوا قَالَ:

وَيُنَادِي مُنَادٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَيْثُ يَجْمَعُ اللَّهُ الْخَلائِقَ: مَا لَكُمْ لا تَنَاصَرُونَ «٢» قَالَ: مَنْ عُبِدَ مِنِ دُونِ اللَّهِ، لَا يَنْصُرُ الْيَوْمَ مَنْ عَبْدَهُ وَمَا لِلْعَابِدِينَ دُونَ الله لا ينصروا اليوم إلهه الَّذِي يُعْبَدُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ اللَّهُ: بَلْ هُمُ الْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ «٣» وَقَرَأَ قَوْلَ اللَّهِ: فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ «٤» .

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَمَنْ يَظْلِمْ مِنْكُمْ نُذِقْهُ عَذَابًا كَبِيرًا

١٥٠٤٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: كُلُّ شَيْءٍ نَسَبُهُ إِلَى غَيْرِ الإِسْلامِ مِنِ اسْمٍ مِثْلِ مُسْرِفٍ وَظَالِمٍ وَمُجْرِمٍ وَفَاسِقٍ وَخَاسِرٍ فَإِنَّمَا يَعْنِى بِهِ الْكُفْرَ، وَمَا نَسَبُهُ إِلَى الإِسْلامِ فَإِنَّمَا يَعْنِى بِهِ الذَّنْبِ قَالَ: وَمَنْ يَظْلِمْ مِنْكُمْ نُذِقْهُ عَذَابًا كَبِيرًا يَقُولُ: وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ مِنْكُمْ قَالَ: وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ يَقُولُ: لِلْكَافِرِينَ.

١٥٠٤٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ أَنْبَأَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ وَهْبًا يَقُولُ: قَرَأْتُ اثْنَيْنِ وَسَبْعِينَ كِتَابًا نَزَلَتْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَا سَمِعْتُ: كِتَابًا أَكْثَرَ تَكْرِيرًا فِيهِ الظُّلْمُ وَمُعَاتَبَةً عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ وَذَلِكَ لأَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِمَ أَنَّ فِتْنَةَ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ تَكُونُ في الظلم وما الآخَرُينَ مِنَ الأُمَمِ «٥» فَإِنَّهُ أَكْثَرَ مُعَاتَبَةَ إِيَّاهُمْ فِي الشِّرْكِ وَعِبَادَةِ الأَوْثَانِ وَإِنَّهُ ذَكَرَ مُعَاتَبَةَ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ بِالظُّلْمِ فَقَالَ: وَمَنْ يَظْلِمْ مِنْكُمْ نُذِقْهُ عَذَابًا كَبِيرًا: وَأَنْ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظالمين «٦» ونزع بأشباه هذا من القرآن.
