15118 - Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Nu‘aym reported to us, from Sufyan, from Mughirah, from Ibrahim regarding "taken this Qur'an as a thing abandoned," he said: They spoke nonsense regarding it.
15119 - My father narrated to us, ‘Amr ibn Rafi‘ reported to us, Hushaym reported to us, from Mughirah, from Ibrahim regarding His saying: "taken this Qur'an as a thing abandoned," he said: They said things other than the truth about it. Have you not seen that when a sick person talks nonsense, it is said: he has abandoned (hajara), meaning he said what he has no knowledge of.
15120 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us, in what he wrote to me, Asbagh reported to us, he said: I heard ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam regarding the saying of Allah: "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as a thing abandoned," meaning they do not wish to listen to it.
His saying: "And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy..."
15121 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-‘Abbas ibn al-Walid al-Narsi informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray‘ reported to us, from Sa‘id, from Qatadah who said: Allah (Mighty and Majestic is He) consoles His Prophet: "And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals" to the end of the verse. Meaning: The messengers have faced this from their people before you, so let it not be burdensome upon you.
15122 - ‘Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali reported to us, ‘Amir ibn al-Furat reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals," he said: No prophet was ever sent except that some criminals were his enemies, and no prophet was ever sent except that some criminals were more severe against him than others.
His saying: "...from among the criminals"
15123 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith reported to us, Bishr ibn ‘Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding His saying: "from among the criminals," he said: The disbelievers.
15124 - ‘Abd Allah ibn Sulayman ibn al-Ash‘ath narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali reported to us, ‘Amir ibn al-Furat reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "an enemy from among the criminals," he said: Those who were enemies to the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) from Quraysh were the Banu Umayyah and the Banu al-Mughirah.
His saying: "And sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper."
15125 - Muhammad ibn al-‘Abbas narrated to us, Junayj reported to us, Salamah reported to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq said, meaning: "and a helper," i.e., if Allah helps you, then the desertion of those who desert you will not harm you.
