15135 - Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Hisinjani narrated to us, Musaddad reported to us, from Hushaym, from Mughirah, from Ibrahim regarding His saying: "And We have spaced it distinctly," he said: It was revealed in parts.
15136 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali reported to us, 'Amir ibn al-Furat reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi: "And We have spaced it distinctly," he says: We have separated it clearly.
15137 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid al-Narsi informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray' reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "And We have spaced it distinctly," i.e., We have explained it clearly.
15138 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh informed us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd, from Aslam regarding His saying: "And We have spaced it distinctly," he said: We have interpreted it with interpretation.
The Second Aspect:
15139 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-'Awfi informed me in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to me, my paternal uncle narrated to me, from his father, from his grandfather, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart, and We have spaced it distinctly," he said: Allah (Glorified and Majestic is He) would reveal a verse to him, and when the Prophet of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) had learned it, another verse would be revealed so that He would teach him the Book by heart and strengthen his heart through it.
His saying (Mighty and Majestic is He): "And they do not bring you a parable"
15140 - It was mentioned from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Umar ibn Rustah, Ibn Mahdi reported to us, Abu Salamah reported to us, from Hakim ibn Jubayr, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "And they do not bring you a parable but We bring you the truth." Ibn 'Abbas said: i.e., Jibril descends with it. Every time they bring a parable seeking to find a fault in it, the Book of Allah descends with it, speaking the truth.
His saying (Mighty and Majestic is He): "But We bring you the truth"
15141 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith reported to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas: "And they do not bring you a parable but We bring you the truth." He says: If We had sent down the Qur'an to you all at once, then they asked you, you would not have had anything with which to answer them, but We withhold it for you, so when they ask you, you answer.
His saying (Mighty and Majestic is He): "And better in interpretation"
15142 - al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid ibn Mazid al-Bayruti informed us by reading, Muhammad ibn Shu'ayb ibn Shabur informed me, 'Uthman ibn 'Ata' informed me, from his father: As for "better in interpretation," [it means] better in explanation. It has been narrated from Ibn 'Abbas, al-Dahhak, and Qatadah similar to that.
١٥١٣٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْهِسِنْجَانِيُّ، ثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ تَرْتِيلا قَالَ: نَزَلَ مُتَفَرَّقًا.
١٥١٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا عَامِرُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ: وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ تَرْتِيلا يَقُولُ: فَصَّلْنَاهُ تَفْصِيلا.
١٥١٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ ابْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ: ورتلناه ترتيلا أي بيناه تبينا.
١٥١٣٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ أَنْبَأَ أَصْبَغُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَسْلَمَ قوله: وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ تَرْتِيلا قَالَ: فَسَّرْنَاهُ تَفْسِيرًا.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
١٥١٣٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَوْفِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلُهُ: كَذَلِكَ لِنُثَبِّت َبِهِ فُؤَادَكَ وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ تَرْتِيلا قَالَ كَانَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَزَّ يُنْزِلُ الآيَةَ عَلَيْهِ فَإِذَا عَلِمَهَا نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَزَلَتْ آيَةٌ أُخْرَى لِيُعَلِّمَهُ الْكِتَابَ، عَنْ ظَهْرِ قَلْبِهِ وَيُثَبِّتَ بِهِ فُؤَادَهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تعالى: وَلا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ
١٥١٤٠ - ذُكِرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ رُسْتَهْ، ثنا ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، ثنا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلُهُ: وَلا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلا جِئْنَاكَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَيْ يَنْزِل ُبِهِ جِبْرِيلُ كُلَّمَا أُتِيَ بِمَثَلٍ يَلْتَمِسُ عَيْبَهُ نَزَلَ بِهِ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ نَاطِقً.
قوله تعالى: إِلا جِئْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ
١٥١٤١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عن ابن عباس: لا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلا جِئْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ يَقُولُ: لَوْ أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ جُمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً ثُمَّ سَأَلُوكَ لَمْ يَكُنْ عِنْدَكَ مَا تُجِيبُ وَلَكِنَّا نُمْسِكُ عَلَيْكَ فَإِذَا سَأَلُوكَ أَجَبْتَ.
قَوْلُهُ تعالى: وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا
١٥١٤٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدٍ الْبَيْرُوتِيُّ قِرَاءَةً أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ شَابُورَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَأَمَّا أحسن تَفْسِيرًا فَأَحْسَنَ تَفْصِيلا وَرُوِِىِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسِ. وَالضَّحَّاكِ وَقَتَادَةَ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ.
