15237 - Abu Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani narrated to us in what he wrote to me, Ishaq ibn Muhammad al-Musayyab narrated to me, from Nafi' ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Nu'aym, from a group of the Followers (Tabi'un), from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, who said: "Everything in the Qur'an that mentions 'winds' (al-riyah) is a mercy, and everything in the Qur'an that mentions 'wind' (al-rih) is a punishment."
His saying, the Exalted: "As glad tidings before His mercy."
15238 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab reported to us, Bishr informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "As glad tidings before His mercy," he said: "People rejoice because of it."
His saying, the Exalted: "Before His mercy."
15239 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi narrated to me in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn al-Mufaddal reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "Before His mercy," he said: "As for His mercy, it is the rain."
His saying, the Exalted: "And We have sent down from the sky water, pure."

15240 - Abd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki narrated to us, my father narrated to me, my father narrated to me from his father, from 'Ikrimah, Ibn Abbas said: "Water is not made impure by anything; it purifies and is not purified by anything, for Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, said: 'And We have sent down from the sky water, pure.'"
15241 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Musaddad reported to us, Mu'tamir reported to us, from Humayd al-Tawil, from Thabit, from Abu Rafi' or from Abu al-'Aliyah regarding the mud of the rain that gets on a man's garment, he recited this verse: "And We have sent down from the sky water, pure."
15242 - My father narrated to us, 'Umar ibn Hafs ibn Ghiyath reported to us, my father reported to us, from Abu Ja'far al-Razi, Humayd al-Tawil narrated to me, from Thabit al-Bunani, who said: "I entered with Abu al-'Aliyah on a rainy day, and the roads of Basra were dirty, so he prayed. I asked him, and he said: 'And We have sent down from the sky water, pure.' He said: 'The water of the sky has purified it.'"
15243 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salamah reported to us, Wuhayb reported to us, from Dawud, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib regarding this verse: "And We have sent down from the sky water, pure," he said: "Allah sent down pure water that is not made impure by anything."
١٥٢٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُسَيَّبُ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ، عَنْ جَمَاعَةٍ مِنَ التَّابِعِينَ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ: كُلُّ شَيْءٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ مِنَ الرِّيَاحِ فَهِيَ رَحْمَةٌ وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ مِنَ الرِّيحِ فَهُوَ عَذَابٌ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ
١٥٢٣٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ أَنْبَأَ بِشْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عباس قوله: بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ قَالَ: يَسْتَبْشِرُ بِهَا النَّاسُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: بَيْنَ يدي رحمته
١٥٢٣٩ - حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الأَوْدِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلُهُ: بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ قَالَ: أَمَّا رَحْمَتُهُ فَهُوَ الْمَطَرُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً طَهُورًا
تَقَدَّمَ الْمَاءُ.
١٥٢٤٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّشْتَكِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: إِنَّ الْمَاءَ لَا يُنَجِّسُهُ شَيْءٌ يُطَهِّرُ وَلا يُطَهِّرُهُ شَيْءٌ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ: وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً طَهُورًا
١٥٢٤١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا مُعْتَمِرٌ، عن جميد الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ أَوْ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ فِي طِينِ الْمَطَرِ يُصِيبُ ثَوْبَ الرَّجُلِ فَقَرَأَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ: وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً طَهُورًا
١٥٢٤٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ مَعَ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ فِي يَوْمٍ مَطِيرٍ وَطَرُقُ الْبَصْرَةِ قَذِرَةٌ فَصَلَّى، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: فَقَالَ: وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً طَهُورًا قَالَ: طَهَّرَهُ مَاءُ السَّمَاءِ.
١٥٢٤٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، ثنا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ فِي هَذِهِ الآيَةِ: وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً طَهُورًا قَالَ: أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ مَاءً طَهُورًا لَا يُنَجِّسُهُ شَيْءٌ
