Translation · EN

13760 - From Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And We have already written in the Zabur (Psalms)..." the verse. He said: "Allah, Exalted be He, informed [us] in the Torah, the Zabur, and in His prior knowledge before the heavens and the earth were created, that He would cause the nation of Muhammad to inherit the earth and would admit them into Paradise, and they are the righteous." And regarding His saying: "...a notification for a people who are devoted worshippers," he said: "[It means] knowledgeable."

13761 - From al-Sha'bi, regarding His saying: "And We have already written in the Zabur (Psalms) after the Dhikr (Reminder)," he said: "In the Zabur of David, after the Dhikr of Moses, [which is] the Torah, [that] the earth will be inherited by..." he said: "Paradise."

13762 - From Abu al-Darda', who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Allah, the Almighty, said: Indeed, the earth will be inherited by My righteous servants, and we are the righteous.'"

His saying, the Almighty: "For a people who are devoted worshippers."

13763 - From al-Hasan, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding "for a people who are devoted worshippers," he said: "Those who consistently maintain the five daily prayers in congregation."

His saying, the Almighty: "On an equal [basis]."

13764 - From Qatada, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "on an equal [basis]," he said: "With fairness."

His saying, the Almighty: "And I do not know [if] this may be a trial for you."

13765 - From Ibn 'Abbas, "And I do not know [if] this may be a trial for you," he says: "What I inform you of regarding the punishment and the Hour, that it might be delayed for you for the duration of your term."

His saying, the Almighty: "Say, 'My Lord, judge in truth.'"

13766 - From Qatada, who said: "The prophets used to say: 'Our Lord, decide between us and our people in truth, and You are the best of those who give decision.' Then Allah commanded His Prophet to say: 'My Lord, judge in truth,' meaning: decide with truth. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) knew that he was on the truth and that his enemy was on falsehood, and whenever he encountered the enemy, he would say: 'My Lord, judge in truth.'"

١٣٧٦٠ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِي الزَّبُورِ الآية. قَالَ: أخبر الله سبحانه في التوراة والزبور وسابق علمه قبل إِنَّ تكون السموات والأرض، إِنَّ يورث أمة مُحَمَّد الأَرْض ويدخلهم الْجَنَّة، وهم الصَّالِحُونَ وفي قوله: لَبَلاغًا لِقَوْمٍ عَابِدِينَ قَالَ: عالمين «١» .

١٣٧٦١ - عَنِ الشعبي فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِي الزَّبُورِ مِنْ بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ قَالَ: في زبور داود مِنْ بَعْدِ ذكر موسى التوراة إِنَّ الأَرْض يَرِثُهَا قَالَ: الْجَنَّة «٢» .

١٣٧٦٢ - عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: قَالَ: رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّ الأَرْض يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحُونَ فنحن الصالحون» «٣» .

قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: لِقَوْمٍ عَابِدِينَ

١٣٧٦٣ - عَنِ الحَسَنِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ لِقَوْمٍ عَابِدِينَ قَالَ: الذين يحافظون عَلَى الصلوات الخمس في الجماعة «٤» .

قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: عَلَى سَوَاءٍ

١٣٧٦٤ - عَنْ قَتَادَة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: عَلَى سَوَاءٍ قَالَ: عَلَى مهل «٥» .

قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: وَإِنْ أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ فِتْنَةٌ لَكُمْ

١٣٧٦٥ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَإِنْ أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ فِتْنَةٌ لَكُمْ يَقُولُ: مَا أخبركم به مِنَ العذاب والساعة، أن يؤخر عنكم لمدتكم «٦» .

قوله تعالى: قل رَبِّ احْكُمْ بِالْحَقِّ

١٣٧٦٦ - عَنْ قَتَادَة قَالَ: كَانَتِ الأَنْبِيَاء تقول: رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْفَاتِحِينَ فأمر الله نبيه إِنَّ يَقُولُ: رَبِّ احْكُمْ بِالْحَقِّ أي اقض بالحق.

وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يعلم أنه عَلَى الحق، وأن عدوه عَلَى الباطل وكان إِذَا لقي العدو قَالَ: رَبِّ احكم بالحق
