[His saying, the Exalted: Falsehood]
[The first interpretation]
15450 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah ibn Musa reported to us, from Isma'il ibn Sulayman, from Ibn 'Umar al-Asadi al-Bazzar, from Ibn al-Hanafiyyah regarding "And those who do not bear witness to falsehood," he said: [It means] idle talk and singing.
It was narrated from Mujahid and Abu al-Jahhaf that it is singing.
And the second interpretation:
15451 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Abdah ibn Sulayman reported to us, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak regarding "And those who do not bear witness to falsehood," he said: Shirk (polytheism).
15452 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Yahya al-Razi reported to us, from Abu Sinan, from al-Dahhak regarding "And those who do not bear witness to falsehood," he said: The speech of shirk.
15453 - Al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Sa'id Abu Bakr al-Nakha'i reported to us, from al-'Ala' ibn al-Musayyab, from 'Amr ibn Murrah regarding "And those who do not bear witness to falsehood," he said: They do not assist the people of shirk in their shirk, nor do they associate with them. It was narrated from al-Suddi something similar to the statement of al-Dahhak.
And the third interpretation:
15454 - Al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Sa'id al-Kharraz informed us, al-Husayn ibn 'Aqil reported to us, from al-Dahhak regarding "And those who do not bear witness to falsehood," he said: The festival of the polytheists. It was narrated from Abu al-'Aliyah, Tawus, al-Rabi' ibn Anas, and al-Muthanna ibn al-Sabah something similar.
And the fourth interpretation:
15455 - Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Ahmasi narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad reported to us, Abu Qutaybah al-Basri narrated to me, he said: I heard Ibn Sirin saying regarding His saying: "And those who do not bear witness to falsehood," he said: It is: Palm Sunday (al-Sha'anin).
And the fifth interpretation:
15456 - Muhammad ibn Isma'il narrated to us, 'Amr al-'Anqazi reported to us, Maslamah ibn Ja'far al-Ahmas informed us, from 'Amr ibn Qays regarding His saying: "And those who do not bear witness to falsehood," he said: Assemblies of obscenity (al-khana).

١٥٤٥٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ الأَسَدِيِّ الْبَزَّارِ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ: وَالَّذِينَ لا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ قَالَ اللَّهْوَ وَالْغِنَاءَ

وَرُوِِىِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ وَأَبِي الْجَحَّافِ أَنَّهُ الْغِنَاءُ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
١٥٤٥١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ جُوَيْبِرٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ: وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ قَالَ: الشِّرْكَ.
١٥٤٥٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَبُو يَحْيَى الرَّازِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ: وَالَّذِينَ لا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ قَالَ: كَلامَ الشِّرْكِ.
١٥٤٥٣ - حَدَّثَنَا الأَشَجُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّخَعِيُّ، عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ: وَالَّذِينَ لا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ قَالَ: لا يُمَالِونَ أَهْلَ الشِّرْكِ عَلَى شِرْكِهِمْ وَلا يُخَالِطُونَهُمْ- وَرُوِِىِ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ نَحْوُ قَوْلِ الضَّحَّاكِ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّالِثُ:
١٥٤٥٤ - حَدَّثَنَا الأَشَجُّ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْخَرَّازُ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَقِيلٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ: وَالَّذِينَ لا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ قَالَ: عِيدَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ- وَرُوِِىِ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ وَطَاوُسٍ وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَالْمُثَنَّى بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الرَّابِعُ:
١٥٤٥٥ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الأَحْمَسِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قُتَيْبَةَ الْبَصْرِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ سِيرِينَ يَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ قَالَ: هُوَ: الشَّعَانِينُ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الْخَامِسُ:
١٥٤٥٦ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثنا عَمْرٌو الْعَنْقَزِيُّ أنبأ مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الأَحْمَسِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَالَّذِينَ لا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ قَالَ: مَجَالِسَ الْخَنَا.
