15597 - Muhammad ibn 'Ammar ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Sahl ibn Bakkar reported to us, Abu 'Awanah reported to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Miqsam, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to the beholders," he said: He placed his hand into his garment and brought it out like lightning, dazzling the eyes, so they fell upon their faces, and Moses took his staff, then he departed, and there was no one among the people but that he was fleeing from him.
15598 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Isa reported to us, Salamah reported to us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: Then he placed his hand into his garment and brought it out white like snow, then he returned it, and it returned to its original state. And Moses placed his hand into his garment, and it became a staff in his hand, his hand between its two branches and its handle at its lower part, as it was. Pharaoh clutched his belly, and it is claimed that he would remain through Thursday and Friday unable to find a way to relieve himself as people normally do, and that was among the things made alluring to him to say: "Indeed, he has no equal among the people."
15599 - It was narrated to us from Wahb ibn Munabbih who said: He remained in that state for twenty-something nights until his soul was almost leaving him, then it ceased. His saying: He said: "To the assembly around him."
15600 - 'Ammar ibn Khalid narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-Husayn and Yazid ibn Harun reported to us, from Asbagh ibn Zayd, from al-Qasim ibn Abi Ayyub, Sa'id ibn Jubayr narrated to me, from Ibn 'Abbas who said: So he consulted the assembly regarding what he saw, and they said: "These two are sorcerers."
15601 - Muhammad ibn 'Ammar ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Sahl ibn Bakkar reported to us, Abu 'Awanah reported to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Miqsam, from Ibn 'Abbas: When he recovered and the terror left Pharaoh, he said to the assembly around him: "What do you advise?"

15602 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Isa reported to us, Salamah reported to us, from Ibn Ishaq, regarding "He said to the assembly around him," he said: To his entourage: "Indeed, this is a learned sorcerer," meaning, there is no sorcerer more learned in sorcery than he.
His saying: "He wants to drive you out of your land with his sorcery."
15603 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "He wants to drive you out of your land with his sorcery," he said: He will extract you from your land.
١٥٥٩٧ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمَّارِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلُهُ: وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاءُ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ قَالَ: فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِي جَيْبِهِ فَأَخْرَجَهَا مِثْلَ الْبَرْقِ تَلْتَمِعُ الأَبْصَارَ فَخَرُّوا عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ، وَأَخَذَ مُوسَى عَصَاهُ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِلا يَفِرُّ مِنْهُ
١٥٥٩٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثنا سَلَمَةُ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِي جَيْبِهِ فَأَخْرَجَهَا بَيْضَاءَ مِثْلَ الثَّلْجِ ثُمَّ رَدَّهَا فَرَجَعْتُ كَهَيْئَتِهَا وَأَدْخَلَ مُوسَى يَدَهُ فِي جَيْبِهِ فَصَارَتْ عَصًا بِيَدِهِ، يَدَهُ بَيْنَ شُعْبَتَيْهَا وَمِحْجَنُهَا فِي أَسْفَلِهَا كَمَا كَانَ وَأَخَذَ فِرْعَوْنُ بَطْنَهُ فَكَانَ فِيمَا يَزْعُمُونَ يَمْكُثُ الْخَمِيسَ وَالسَّبْتَ مَا يَلْتَمِسُ الْمَذْهَبَ كَمَا كَانَ يَلْتَمِسُهُ النَّاسُ، وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ مِمَّا زُيِّنَ لَهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ: إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَهُ فِي النَّاسِ شَبِيهٌ.
١٥٥٩٩ - حُدِّثْنَا، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ قَالَ: فَشَى بِضْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً حَتَّى كَادَتْ نَفْسُهُ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ ثُمَّ أَمْسَكَ قَوْلُهُ: قَالَ: لِلْمَلإِ حَوْلَهُ

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى إِنَّ هَذَا لِسَاحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ

قَوْلُهُ: يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِكُمْ بِسِحْرِهِ
١٥٦٠٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلُهُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِكُمْ بِسِحْرِهِ قَالَ: يَسْتَخْرِجُكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِكُمْ.
