Translation · EN

13775 - From al-Rabi' regarding "And you see the people intoxicated," he said: "That is at the time of the Hour; the old will become intoxicated, the young will grow grey-headed, and pregnant women will cast what is in their wombs."

His saying, the Almighty: "And of the people..."

13776 - From Abu Malik regarding His saying: "And of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge," he said: "It was revealed concerning al-Nadr ibn al-Harith."

His saying, the Almighty: "And follows every rebellious devil."

13777 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "And follows every rebellious devil," he said: "He who is rebellious against the acts of disobedience to Allah."

13778 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "It has been decreed for him," he said: "It has been decreed against the devil."

13779 - From Mujahid regarding His saying: "It has been decreed for him," he said: "Against the devil, that whoever takes him as an ally—he said: 'follows him.'"

13780 - From 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)—and he is the truthful, the believed—told us: "Indeed, the creation of one of you is gathered in his mother's womb for forty days as a drop (nutfah), then he is a clinging clot (alaqah) for a like period, then he is a lump of flesh (mudghah) for a like period. Then an angel is sent to him, and he breathes the soul into him, and he is commanded with four words: to write down his provision, his lifespan, his deeds, and whether he is wretched or happy. By Him besides whom there is no god, one of you may perform the deeds of the people of Paradise until there is nothing between him and it but a forearm's length, then the record overtakes him and he performs the deeds of the people of the Fire, and enters it. And one of you may perform the deeds of the people of the Fire until there is nothing between him and it but a forearm's length, then the record overtakes him and he performs the deeds of the people of Paradise, and enters it."

13781 - From Ibn Mas'ud who said: "When the drop (nutfah) settles in the womb, an angel from the wombs takes it in his palm and says: 'O Lord, created or uncreated?' If it is said: 'Uncreated,' it does not become a human soul, and the womb expels it as blood. If it is said: 'Created,' he says: 'O Lord, male or female? Wretched or happy? What is the lifespan, what is the remnant (athar), and what is the provision? And in what land will he die?' Then it is said to the drop: 'Who is your Lord?' It says: 'Allah.' It is said: 'Who is your Provider?' It says: 'Allah.' Then it is said to him: 'Go to the Mother of the Book...'
