His saying: "So when the sorcerers came."
15619 - Muhammad ibn 'Ammar narrated to us, Sahl ibn Bakkar reported to us, Abu 'Awanah reported to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Miqsam, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "So when the sorcerers came," they said: "This [man] has done such and such." They said: "This is a sorcerer who bewitches people, and a sorcerer does not bewitch a sorcerer." He said: "Yes, and indeed you will then be among those brought near [to me]."
15620 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Isa reported to us, Salamah reported to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq regarding His saying: "So when the sorcerers came," he said: When they gathered before him, he gave them his instructions and said to them: "Indeed, a sorcerer has come to us such that we have never seen his like. If you defeat him, I will honor you, bring you near, and favor you over the people of my kingdom."
His saying, the Exalted: "They said to Pharaoh, 'Is there for us a reward if we are the winners?'"
15621 - 'Ammar ibn Khalid al-Wasiti narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-Husayn and Yazid ibn Harun reported to us, from Asbagh ibn Zayd, from al-Qasim, Sa'id ibn Jubayr narrated to me, from Ibn 'Abbas: When they came to Pharaoh, they asked: "What does this sorcerer do?" They replied: "His work is with snakes." They said: "By Allah, there is no one on earth who performs sorcery with snakes, ropes, and sticks like we do. So what is our reward if we defeat him?" He said to them: "You are my relatives and my inner circle, and I shall do for you whatever you wish."
15622 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "So when the sorcerers came, they said to Pharaoh, 'Is there for us a reward if we are the winners?'" He says: A gift you give us if we are the winners? He said: "Yes, and indeed you will then be among those brought near."
His saying: "He said, 'Yes, and indeed you will then be among those brought near.'"
15623 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Isa reported to us, Salamah reported to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq who said: When they gathered before him, he gave them his instructions and said: "Indeed, a sorcerer has come to us such that we have never seen his like. If you defeat him, I will honor you, bring you near, and favor you over the people of my kingdom." They said: "Is that for us if we defeat him?" He said: "Yes." They said: "Then appoint for us an appointment in which we and he may gather." The heads of the sorcerers whom Pharaoh gathered against Moses were, according to what reached me, four from among those who believed when they witnessed the power of Allah, and then all the sorcerers believed with them.
قوله: فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ
١٥٦١٩ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ ابن أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَعْنِي
قَوْلَهُ: فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا: إِنَّ هَذَا فَعَلَ كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالُوا: هَذَا سَاحِرٌ يَسْحَرُ النَّاسَ وَلا يَسْحَرُ السَّاحِرُ السَّاحِرَ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
١٥٦٢٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثنا سَلَمَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ يعنى قوله: فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالَ: فَاجْتَمَعُوا إِلَيْهِ أَمَرَهُمْ أَمْرَهُ فَقَالَ: لَهُمْ إِنَّهُ قَدْ جَاءَنا سَاحِرٌ لَمْ نَرَ مِثْلَهُ قَطُّ، وَإِنَّكُمْ إِنْ غَلَبْتُمُوهُ أَكْرَمْتُكُمْ وَقَرَّبْتُكُمْ وَفَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى أَهْلِ مَمْلَكَتِي.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: قَالُوا لِفِرْعَوْنَ أإن لَنَا لأَجْرًا إِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ
١٥٦٢١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَينِ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ أَصْبَغِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَلَمَّا أَتَوْا فِرْعَوْنَ قَالُوا بِمَ يَعْمَلُ هَذَا السَّاحِرُ؟ قَالُوا عَمَلُهُ بِالْحَيَّاتِ قَالُوا: فَلا وَاللَّهِ مَا فِي الأَرْضِ قَوْمٌ يَعْمَلُونَ السِّحْرَ بِالْحَيَّاتِ وَالْحِبَالِ وَالْعِصِيِّ الَّذِي نَعْمَلُ فلما أَجْرُنَا إِنْ غَلَبْنَاهُ؟
قَالَ: فَقَالَ: لَهُمْ: أَنْتُمْ أَقَارِبِي وَخَاصَّتِي وَأَنَا صَانِعٌ إِلَيْكُمْ كُلَّ مَا أَحْبَبْتُمْ.
١٥٦٢٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلُهُ: فَلَمَّا جاء السحرة قالوا لفرعون أإن لَنَا لأَجْرًا إِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ يَقُولُ عَطِيَّةً تُعْطِينَا إِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ قَالَ: نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
قَوْلُهُ: قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
١٥٦٢٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثنا سَلَمَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: فَلَمَّا اجْتَمَعُوا إِلَيِّهِ أَمَرَهُمْ أَمْرَهُ فَقَالَ: إِنَّهُ قَدْ جَاءَنَا سَاحِرٌ لَمْ نَرَ مِثْلَهُ قَطُّ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِنْ غَلَبْتُمُوهُ أَكْرَمْتُكُمْ وَقَرَّبْتُكُمْ وَفَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى أَهْلِ مملكتي قال إِنَّ لَنَا ذَلِكَ إِنْ غَلَبْنَاهُ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ قَالُوا فَعِدْهُ لَنَا مَوْعِدًا نَجْتَمِعُ فِيهِ نَحْنُ وهو وكان رؤس الحسرة الَّتِي جَمَعَ فِرْعَوْنُ لِمُوسَى فِيمَا بَلَغَنِي أَرْبَعَةً مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا حِينَ رَأَوْا مِنْ سُلْطَانِ اللَّهِ فَآمَنَتْ مَعَهُمُ السَّحَرَةُ جَمِيعًا.
