13782 - From Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "[Some] created and [some] uncreated," he said: "The created: what was living, and the uncreated: what was a miscarriage."

13783 - From Ikrimah who said: "The clinging clot (alaqah) is blood, the lump of flesh (mudghah) is meat, the created is that which has completed its creation, and the uncreated is the miscarriage."

13784 - From Mujahid regarding "created and uncreated," he said: "The miscarriage is created and uncreated. 'And We settle in the wombs what We will for a specified term,'" he said: "The full term."

13785 - From Ibn Zayd regarding His saying: "And We settle in the wombs what We will for a specified term," he said: "Its remaining in the womb until it comes out."

His saying, the Almighty: "That We may make clear to you."

13786 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "That We may make clear to you," he said: "That you were in the wombs of your mothers in that manner."

His saying, the Almighty: "And you see the earth barren."

13787 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "And you see the earth barren," meaning dusty and withered. "But when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and grows," he says: "We distribute the rain into its salt-land and its hills. 'And grows [something] of every beautiful kind,'" meaning beautiful.

13788 - From Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "Beautiful kind," he said: "Good/beautiful."

13789 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "Without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening Book," he said: "He doubles the thing while he is one."
