15707 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-'Ala' reported to us, Yunus ibn Bukayr reported to us, from Matar ibn Maymun, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: "The wisdom [hukm] is knowledge."

15708 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Waki' reported to us, from Sufyan, from a man, from Mujahid: "The wisdom [hukm] is the Qur'an."

15709 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi, regarding "Grant me wisdom [hukman]," he said: "The wisdom [hukm] is prophethood."

His saying, the Almighty: "And join me with the righteous."

15710 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh reported to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Aslam regarding His saying, "And join me with the righteous," he said: "With the prophets and the believers."

His saying, the Almighty: "And grant me a reputation of honor among the later generations."

15711 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith reported to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying, "And grant me a reputation of honor among the later generations," he said: "The agreement of the people of all religions upon Abraham."

15712 - My father narrated to us, 'Ubayd ibn Ishaq al-'Attar reported to us, Abu Isra'il reported to us, from al-Hakam, from Mujahid, regarding His saying, "And grant me a reputation of honor among the later generations," he said: "Good praise." It is also narrated from Qatada similarly to what Mujahid said.

15723 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj reported to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam regarding the saying of Allah, "And grant me a reputation of honor among the later generations," he said: "The 'reputation of honor' [lisan sidq] is the mention and the good praise and the good reputation."

15724 - 'Amr ibn Thawr al-Qaysari informed us in what he wrote, al-Firyabi reported to us, Sufyan reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying, "And grant me a reputation of honor among the later generations," he said: "It is like His saying, 'And We gave him good in this world, and indeed, he will be in the Hereafter among the righteous.'"

15725 - My father narrated to us, Abu Hamza al-Aslami Nusayr ibn al-Faraj at Tarsus reported to us, Husayn—meaning al-Ju'fi—reported to us, he said: I heard Layth ibn Abi Sulaym mentioning regarding the saying of Allah, "And grant me a reputation of honor among the later generations," he said: "The people of every religion believe in him."
