[The Second Perspective]
15726 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj reported to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd regarding the saying of Allah, "among the later generations," he said: "Among the later generations of the people, by name."
His saying, the Almighty: "And make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure."
15727 - My father narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Ibrahim ibn Kathir al-Nukri reported to us, 'Abd Allah ibn 'Ubayd Allah al-'Abdi reported to us, Rabah al-Qaysi reported to us, he said: I heard Malik ibn Dinar saying: "The Gardens of Pleasure are between the Gardens of Firdaws and the Gardens of 'Adn. In them are maidens created from the roses of Paradise." It was said: "And who will inhabit them?" He said: "Those who intended to commit sins, but when they remembered My majesty, they observed Me, and those whose bodies bent in fear of Me. By My might, I intend to punish the people of the earth, but when I look at those who are hungry and thirsty from fear of Me, I divert the punishment away from them."
His saying, the Almighty: "And forgive my father."
15728 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith reported to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying, "And forgive my father, indeed he has been of those astray," he said: "Grant him a repentance through which he deserves Your forgiveness," meaning: the repentance of Islam.
His saying: "And do not disgrace me on the Day they are resurrected."
15729 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray' reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, from Qatada, regarding His saying, "And do not disgrace me on the Day they are resurrected," and it was mentioned to us that the Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "A man from among the believers will come on the Day of Resurrection, holding the hand of a father of his who was a polytheist, until he crosses the Fire with him, intending to enter him into Paradise. It will be called out that no polytheist shall enter Paradise. He will say: 'O Lord, You wrote: Do not disgrace me. O Lord, You wrote: Do not disgrace me.'" He said: "He will continue to cling to him until he is transformed into an ugly form with a foul odor, in the form of a hyena." He said: "He will release him at that point and say: 'You are not my father, you are not my father.'" He said: "We used to believe that it was the Friend of Allah, Abraham, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, although the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not name him on that day."
الْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي
١٥٧٢٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ لي أنا أصبغ بن الفرح قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: فِي الآخِرِينَ قَالَ فِي الآخِرِينَ مِنَ النَّاسِ مِنَ الاسْمِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ
١٥٧٢٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ النُّكْرِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْعَبْدِيُّ، ثنا رَبَاحٌ الْقَيْسِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَالِكَ بْنَ دِينَارٍ يَقُولُ: جَنَّاتُ النَّعِيمِ بَيْنَ جَنَّاتِ الْفِرْدَوْسِ وَبَيْنَ جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ وَفِيهَا جَوَارِي خُلِقْنَ مِنْ وَرْدِ الْجَنَّةِ قِيلَ وَمَنْ يَسْكُنُهَا قَالَ: الَّذِينَ هَمُّوا بِالْمَعَاصِي فَلَمَّا ذَكَرُوا عَظَمَتِي رَاقَبُونِي وَالَّذِينَ انْثَنَتْ أَبْدَانُهُمْ مِنْ خَشْيَتِي وَعِزَّتِي إِنِّي لأَهُمُّ بِعَذَابِ أَهْلِ الأَرْضِ فَإِذَا نَظَرْتُ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْجُوعِ وَالْعَطَشِ مِنْ مَخَافَتِي صَرَفْتُ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَاغْفِرْ لأَبِي
١٥٧٢٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا منجاب الْحَارِثِ أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَاغْفِرْ لأَبِي إِنَّهَ كَانَ مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ قَالَ:
امْنُنْ عَلَيْهِ بِتَوْبَةٍ يَسْتَحِقُّ بِهَا مَغْفِرَتَكَ يَعْنِى بِتَوْبَةِ الإِسْلامِ
قَوْلُهُ: وَلا تُخْزِنِي يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ
١٥٧٢٩ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ وَلا تُخْزِنِي يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ وَذُكِرَ لَنَا أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: يَجِيءُ رَجُلٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ آخِذٌ بِيَدِ أَبٍ لَهُ مُشْرِكٍ حَتَّى يَقْطَعَهُ النَّارَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ فينادي أنه لا يدخله الْجَنَّةَ مُشْرِكٌ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّ كَتَبْتَ لَا تُخْزِنِي رَبِّ كَتَبْتَ لَا تُخْزِنِي قَالَ فَلا يَزَالُ مُتَشَبِّثَا بِهِ حَتَّى يُحَوَّلَ فِي صُورَةٍ قَبِيحَةٍ وَرِيحٍ مُنْتِنَةٍ فِي صُورَةِ ضِبْعَانٍ قَالَ: فَيُرْسِلُهُ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ فَيَقُولُ لَسْتَ أَبِي لَسْتَ أَبِي قَالَ: فَكُنَّا نَرَى أَنَّهُ خَلِيلُ اللَّهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَا سَمَّاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ.
