13792 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "Bending his side," he said: "Twisting his neck."

His saying, the Almighty: "And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge."
13797 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) regarding "And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge," he said: "A man would come to Medina; if his wife gave birth to a boy and his horses produced offspring, he would say: 'This is a good religion.' But if his wife did not give birth and his horses did not produce offspring, he would say: 'This is a bad religion.'"
13798 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) who said: "Some of the Bedouin used to come to the Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) and embrace Islam. If they returned to their lands and experienced a year of rain, a year of fertility, and a year of good offspring, they would say: 'Our religion is good,' and hold fast to it. But if they experienced a year of drought, a year of bad offspring, and a year of famine, they would say: 'There is no good in this religion of ours.' So Allah revealed: 'And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge.'"
