Translation · EN

His saying: "My account is only upon my Lord, if you could perceive."

15774 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-Salam ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Qadi, from the descendants of Wabisah ibn Ma'bad, in al-Raqqah, reported to us, my father reported to us, from Shayban, from 'Asim ibn Bahdalah, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, who said: I witnessed our companion Wabisah ibn Ma'bad, and he heard two men disputing regarding the people of Iraq and the people of Syria; one of them was finding fault with these, and the other was finding fault with those. Wabisah said: Why do they not say something other than that? They asked: What should we say? He said: Let them say: "My account is only upon my Lord, if you could perceive."

His saying: "And I am not one to drive away the believers."

15775 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah reported to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' reported to us, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr: "The believers," meaning those who attest to the truth.

His saying: "I am only a clear warner."

15776 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Salih reported to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd Allah al-Fazari reported to us, from Shayban al-Nahwi, Qatadah informed me, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding "warner," he said: A warner against the Fire.

His saying the Almighty: "They said: If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be among those who are stoned."

15777 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, al-Qasim ibn 'Isa al-Wasiti reported to us, Hushaym reported to us, from al-Nadr Abu Muhammad, from al-Hasan regarding His saying: "You will surely be among those who are stoned," he said: They threatened him with killing. It was also narrated from Zayd ibn Aslam something similar.

15778 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be among those who are stoned," meaning with stones.

15779 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman ibn al-Ash'ath narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali reported to us, 'Amir reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "If you do not desist... you will surely be among those who are stoned," he says: With verbal abuse.

15780 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Salamah reported to us, Salamah reported to us, he said: Then Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, from someone who did not mention him, from 'Abd ibn 'Umayr al-Laythi, that he used to report that it reached him that they would seize him and choke him until he fell unconscious. When he regained consciousness, he would say: "O Allah, forgive my people, for they do not know."
