[His saying, the Almighty: 'To Him prostrates whoever is in the heavens and the earth.']

13811 - From Mujahid, he said: 'The garment prostrates.'

13812 - From al-Dahhak (may Allah be pleased with him) he said: 'When the shadow lengthens, there does not remain any beast or bird but that it falls prostrate before Allah.'

13813 - From Amr ibn Dinar (may Allah be pleased with him) he said: 'I heard a man circumambulating the House [Kaaba] and weeping, and behold, it was Tawus! So I said: "Are you amazed at my weeping?" I replied: "Yes." He said: "By the Lord of this structure, this moon weeps out of fear of Allah, even though it has committed no sin."

His saying, the Almighty: "And many among the people."

13814 - From Tawus (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the verse, he said: 'He did not except anyone from these [the believers], until when He reached the son of Adam, He excepted him and said: "And many among the people." He said: "And those most deserving of gratitude are the majority of them."

13815 - From Ali that it was said to him: "There is a man here speaking about the Divine Will (al-mashiyyah)." So Ali said to him: "O servant of Allah, did Allah create you for what He wills or for what you will?" He replied: "Rather, for what He wills." He said: "Does He make you ill when He wills or when you will?" He replied: "Rather, when He wills." He said: "Does He heal you when He wills or when you will?" He replied: "Rather, when He wills." He said: "Does He cause you to enter Paradise where He wills or where you will?" He replied: "Rather, where He wills." He said: "By Allah, if you had said anything other than that, I would have struck that which is between your eyes with the sword."

His saying, the Almighty: "These are two adversaries who have disputed over their Lord."

13816 - From Abu [al-Aliyah] (may Allah be pleased with him) that he used to swear an oath that this verse: "These are two adversaries who have disputed over their Lord" until His saying: "Indeed, Allah does what He intends" was revealed concerning the three and the three who dueled on the day of Badr, and they are: Hamzah ibn Abd al-Muttalib, Ubaydah ibn al-Harith.
