I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Abraham is the Messenger of Allah. O people, Allah has commanded me to call out to the people: Answer your Lord. And he was answered by those whom Allah had taken a covenant from for the Hajj until the Day of Resurrection.
His saying, the Almighty: 'They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel.'
13885 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: 'I do not regret anything I have missed, except that I did not perform Hajj on foot until old age overtook me. I hear Allah, the Almighty, say: "They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel," so He began with the pedestrians before the riders.'
13886 - From Qatadah, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: 'And on every lean camel,' he said: 'Those that the mounts do not reach until they have become lean.'
His saying, the Almighty: 'From every deep and distant pass.'
13887 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: 'From every deep and distant pass,' he said: 'A distant path.'
His saying, the Almighty: 'That they may witness benefits for themselves.'
13888 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding 'That they may witness benefits for themselves,' he said: 'Markets that they used to have. Allah did not mention benefits except the worldly ones.'
13889 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: 'That they may witness benefits for themselves,' he said: 'Benefits in the worldly life and benefits in the Hereafter. As for the benefits of the Hereafter, it is the pleasure of Allah, the Almighty. And as for the benefits of this world, it is what they obtain from the meat of the sacrificial animals on that day, and the slaughters, and the trade.'
His saying, the Almighty: 'And mention the name of Allah.'
13890 - From Muqatil, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: 'And mention the name of Allah,' he said: 'Over what they slaughter of the sacrificial animals.'
13891 - From Qatadah, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding 'And mention the name of Allah,' he said: 'It used to be said: When you slaughter your sacrifice, say: In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, this is from You and for You on behalf of so-and-so. Then eat and feed as Allah commanded you: the neighbor, and the closest, then the next closest.'

أَشْهَدُ إِنَّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أن إبراهيم رَسُول الله. أيها الناس إِنَّ الله أمرني إِنَّ أنادي في الناس، أجيبوا ربكم، فأجابه مِنَ أخذ الله ميثاقه بالحج إِلَى يَوْم الْقِيَامَة «١» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالا وَعَلَى كُلّ ضَامِرٍ
١٣٨٨٥ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عنهما قال: ما آسي علي شيء فاتني، إلا أني لَمْ أحج ماشيًا حتى أدركني الكبر أسمع الله تعالى يَقُولُ: يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالا وَعَلَى كُلّ ضَامِرٍ فبدأ بالرجال قبل الركبان «٢» .
١٣٨٨٦ - عَنْ قَتَادَة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَعَلَى كُلّ ضَامِرٍ قَالَ: مَا تبلغه المطي حتى تضمر «٣» .
قوله تعالي: مِنْ كُلّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ
١٣٨٨٧ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: مِنْ كُلّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ قَالَ: طَرِيق بعيد «٤» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: لِيَشْهَدُوا مَنَافِعَ لَهُمْ
١٣٨٨٨ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا لِيَشْهَدُوا مَنَافِعَ لَهُمْ قَالَ: أسواقًا كانت لَهُمْ. مَا ذكر الله منافع إلا الدُّنْيَا «٥» .
١٣٨٨٩ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا فِي قَوْلِهِ: لِيَشْهَدُوا مَنَافِعَ لَهُمْ قَالَ:
منافع في الدُّنْيَا ومنافع في الآخرة فأما منافع الآخرة، فرضوان الله عز وجل، وأما منافع الدُّنْيَا، فَمَا يصيبون مِنْ لحوم البدن في ذَلِكَ اليوم والذبائح والتجارات «٦» .
قَوْلهُ تَعَالَى: وَيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ
١٣٨٩٠ - عَنْ مُقَاتِلٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ قَالَ: فيما ينحرون مِنَ البدن «٧» .
١٣٨٩١ - عَنْ قَتَادَة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ وَيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ قَالَ: كَانَ يقال: إِذَا ذبحت نسيكتك فقل بسم الله والله أكبر، اللهم هَذَا منك ولك عَنْ فلان، ثُمَّ كُلّ وأطعم كما أمرك الله: الجار والأقرب فالأقرب «٨» .
